ANVIL INTERNATIONAL 40153 3" Cap Hub Sewer & Drain PVC Fitting

I assumed it's inside diameter would fit over a 3" drainage pipe, but it is the same size OD as a 3" drain pipe . . .c so really useless as a cap to a 3" drain pipe,

I wish I could send a photo of this $7 waste of money. I am guessing they took the 3" schedule 40 pvc pipe dimensions and made one that size with 3" stamped on it. The ID is a 3" pipe. Not the ID of the cap equal to the OD of the pipe so it could slip on. Since the US is the last place using inches you know they didn't try to match up to our standards. It may be this fits 75 mm pipes somewhere else. Also it is very thin. It would not hold pressure.

I guess I should have done more research, had the same issue as other purchasers. These WILL NOT fit a 3" PVC drain pipe. I'll be sending them back and postpone my project...

Yikes, doesnt fit a 3” pvc pipe. Waste of money
