The media could not be loaded.  "I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro, and like most users I was forced to purchase adapters to get the functionality I needed. I bought one USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter at Apple, but that was it. The others were quite expensive, and the reviews on Apple's website didn't seem to show that they were the best option.After looking around Amazon for a while (there are so many options), I settled on this adapter. It was one of the best reviewed adapters, and it had all the functionality I need for video and photo editing. Transfer speed is great, I haven't noticed much of a difference from the Apple adapter or my old MBP. The SD card slots work great as well, and the USB-C slots are good for charging. [EDIT: After few months of usage - this has developed a strange issue of random screen flickering on external display if you connect HDMI to external display, contacted seller but he refused to replace or refund the product and only going to credit £3 as goodwill. Its a shame it was such a nice product and I did use its USB and other functions nicely, its just that random flickering to external display upset me, so amending review from 5 star to 3 star.]This is good quality product, but occasionally gets bit hot but that's not a problem really, many variety of connections, and as pointed by few other revivers there's only one usb-c port available for changing, I'm not sure what the other port does but I'm happy with USB ports, hdmi and micro sd port. And it's color is plus because it goes nicely with my Mac pro's grey color.

Works decently... The only complaint i have is that the USB ports are upside down... So certain USB drives that are larger on the top side, wont plug in properly since the adapter is flush with the table.... It causes it to bend the adapter up a bit... Not sure why they designed it like this... besides that it works properly.

I still stand by the headline and the general opinion and build of this hub is great, however it would be even better if it continued to work and what would top everything is if the supplier would keep in touch regarding the return/refund. First the SD port stopped, then the HDMI fails when it comes to audio.Why they rolled out the C - ports this early is a mystery. Why they didn't build them with all the ports this gizmo has is also a mystery. But this ODOMY HUB is great. Fits snugly and gives pretty much all you need. It should be pointed out that unlike the Mac, only one of the C ports is a charging port, the other is data. My initial use was so I could use the HDMI feature and it works as expected, the USB's work as expected and I'm guessing the micro sd will as well. IF I could say one thing against it, it would be to swap one of the 3 USB's for an Ethernet input.

Worked for a couple of weeks but then the hdmi port seemed to pack up. Also, the usb ports are weird. They're, how can I put this, upside down? So I struggled to slot a couple of my USB sticks into them, as I had to put them in with the flat underside on the top.

As a mid-priced hub, I thought this would be good based on the reviews. For the first few months, it was fine but has since become loose in the sockets and I have lost large data transfers whilst working on the mbp. I guess, nudged the machine and it disconnected it. Maybe my own fault but very dull when working under pressure with large files

The Good.MBP 2018 - Fits like a dream, snaps fully into place and sits flat with base of the computer.The Bad.The HDMI port worked for approximately 45 seconds, I plugged in an SD card to view some pictures and the monitor went black. Unable to get a video signal again. The monitor will spot an HDMI cable is connected but there is no video output. Tried another cable and 2 other monitors. The MBP HDMI function works on my other USB-C HUB, so it's not a computer fault.

Should have thought about it before, but because this fits so perfectly against the mac (which is what I was after) it therefore wont plug in if you have a protective case on your macbook. As mine will be travelling a lot I need the case on so unfortunatly I will now have to buy one that attaches by a lead and not closely against the side of the mac. Otherwise can't fault it!
