I found this to be a great little camera. The picture quality of the recordings are excellent without the "mirror", for such a tiny camera. With the "mirror" the picture is still very clear. The mirror is actually a smokey acrylic disc which you can use to mask the camera lens, (so not actually a true reflective mirror) Continuous recording works well, as does motion detection mode. I haven't tried night vision recording yet.The camera saves recordings in 5 minute clips.The time can be set in the .txt file once the Mini SD card (not supplied) is inserted in the camera - max size 32GB.I found that if the battery goes completely flat, the date reverts to a seemingly random past date, so it has to set again before recording again.The only real downfall I have found is that it will only record for around 50 mins on one full battery charge. Recording in Motion Detection mode doesn't save battery power, as the camera is still on in standby mode.I will be buying a power pack to use with this, so I can get more recording time, or maybe try a mobile phone type charger with a usb socket so that it is powered all the time (if I can hide the cable, that is)

Considering this isn't even one of the cheaper spy cams I have to say it is rubbish! Maybe all the glowing reviews have never had a spy cam before, maybe I got a knackered one, who knows. Firstly, I notice the manual is 100% French. The only other manual I could find was the video included in the seller images here, but I wouldn't call that a manual! Secondly, the manual clearly shows the view angle is 120 degrees but the main listing advertises as 140 degrees - I only bought it because it advertised 140 degrees! Well, I decided the thing a test, see if the angle was big enough for what I needed (to catch some louts climbing on my shed roof). I charged it, set it up easily enough on my smart phone, tested some of the features. The app is full of bugs - freezing, doesn't load properly, crashes, the usual. I then figured out that you can either have the camera wifi on for motion detection to send you an alarm but you can only record from your device, onto your device. Or, you can turn wifi off and motion detection will record to the micro SD card for whatever time you set in the settings. You can't have motion detect automatically record to the SD card AND stream to your device. Not good, considering I wanted motion detection to record to SD card at the same time as allowing me to stream so I can make sure motion detection hasn't just picked up the neighbour's cat! THEN after only fifteen minutes of the camera being in standby, with wifi switched on, the battery dropped from 100% to 80% - so in standby ONLY the battery will last no longer than 75 minutes - NOT 100 minutes as advertised and I doubt it would last half an hour of constant recording. I also recorded 30 seconds of footage from where I want to place the cam and watched it back - it is NOT 1080p HD! Playback is grainy and patchy even in daylight, nightlight no better. There's also interference in the sound, like someone tap-tap-tapping on the microphone.I'm putting the cam up this evening, in the hope to catch these louts in action but even if I catch some footage before the battery runs out, I doubt it will be of any use unless the scumbags step within a metre of the camera.I'd like to come back and update the review to say it actually did the job but I reckon I'll be returning it as "not as advertised".Be warned, you can get better for cheaper!UPDATE: Streaming live to my device - in high def = 5fps if I was lucky, most of the time it would freeze at 0fps; in standard def = 7-15fps. I've had the cam in place about a dozen times since purchase, connected to a battery pack which lasts about 48 hours, set to motion detect. Presumably because of the fps issue, one crucial instance of motion was not picked up at all! Today, the cam seems to have died, won't connect to the internet at all.Useless gadget, it's now in the bin.

I can't really be upset with the thing, because it does the job just not what i thought it would do. In other words, I'm upset with the seller and the way it's advertised. It's a very toyish approach to what a Spy camera entails and should not, be named as such. Whether you agree with me or not, I'll explain below why I feel so, regardless.First of all, the battery lasts for 50minutes regardless of whether you use the motion detection or not.The SD Card of 32gb, which is not supplied, - not sure how I missed that, is therefore more than adequate to store a 50 min video, so motion detection's main feature, - Battery saving! Which is implied, is gone. Sure, it's good if you don't want to skip through a 50 min video for the good bit but.. That's really irrelevant.Second, the motion dection is useless past.. Idk, 2 meters? The picture attached is where I set it up, it can't detect motion accross a room. Very important detail, that's omitted. It HAS motion detection, but you can't use it.Third, it's not fit for purpose since it can't even stay up for 1 day, without having a power source in it; Which, if you did connect it to a powerbank or whatever, it would no longer be a "mini" or for that matter "spy camera"!You tell me where you can install a camera that's only got a 2 meter action range and is roughly the size of a powerbank? Might as well buy a spy clock and be done with it. To sum it up, I love the thing because it tries hard but it's the child version of a spy camera. And on that note, its situation reminds me somehow of kids being sent by gipsy lords to beg.I'm done with Chinese. You buy chinese, you buy twice. I can't rememeber the last time that wasn't true. Stop supporting child trafficking, save a spwy camera's life. UwU
