Ocun Crack Gloves for Crack Climbing I Rock Climbing Gloves

These are absolutely our favorite crack climbing gloves. We've tried other brands (B.D., O.R., etc.) and these have definitely lasted the longest. The pad on the back of the knuckles is nice, most of the time. If the crack is a tight squeeze tape may be a better call, but that's pretty uncommon.

I've had these gloves for a while now and they've held up well so far. They've more than payed for themselves with the amount of tape I've saved, and are great for gym cracks which (at least in my experience) are quite a bit rougher on the hands than outdoor cracks. The way the velcro strap is covered is also great. I've found with other brands I end up wearing through the strap before the glove itself because it's not protected. As an added bonus it also helps to keep the velcro firmly in place so there's no chance of it accidentally coming undone.

Good protection against sharp crystals in granite. It takes a bit to break in the Velcro seal, as it falls off a lot at first. But once you’ve broken them in the Velcro stays secure through the duration of most any climb

I've been climbing with these for about 6 months, great way to step up your skills. Only tricky part is getting the velcro on but with time the material gets easier to work with

I love these gloves don’t get me wrong. I had a pair that got stolen so I reordered some! I couldn’t remember what my size was so I measured my hand and used the guide. I was right in the middle of the small so I went for it, they’re super tight and the Velcro barely wraps my whole wrist. All in all they still work amazing and I’m sure they’ll stretch out but I’d size up. I think I was originally a medium. All in all an amazing purchase I’m sure once I make my way through this pair I’ll buy another.

I have been crack climbing with these twice a week for a few months at Vedauwoo in Wyoming, which has really rough granite, and there is no sign of wear on the gloves. I have cracked climbed before without gloves, just tape, and I won't ever go back. Taping is such a waste, it takes time to tape up, and the tape never holds as well as I would like. I also love the extra grip and padding these gloves give me. My boyfriend also has a pair and he loves them as well, as do many other climbers that I have bumped into. I hear that the Black Diamond climbing gloves aren't durable at all.

I've tried most of the crack gloves around and these are the best. Better build quality. Better rubber. The wrist velcro gets tucked under a flap so they don't come off mid-pitch. Just make sure you don't go too small or they will hurt your knuckles. Test by making a fist in them. If there is a lot of pressure on your knuckles they might hurt on multipitch. I'm usually a medium in gloves and I needed a large in these.

Should have bought these years ago. I thought I bought them too small at first. I followed their sizing chart and came out as a large. At first they seemed too tight, but they have stretched into my hands perfectly.

So this year, after 10 years of climbing I decided I need to figure out how the hell to crack climb, After many (failed) attempts to tape up, usually resulting in the tape coming off half way up a climb and getting terrible rock-rash, I tried on some of these gloves and was sold. Your hands are a little bulkier so they don't fit in the same width cracks the same, but you get used to it and the jams feel way more bomber, with the rubber on your hands. It's like cheating (and it's way less painful)

They are amazing, I tried a few from friends and when I tried this one I had to have it.
