TAMIYAModels Nelson Battleship

have always been pleased with Tamiya.... this was no exception..... add a magnifier to your hobby desk for these 1/700 kits if you have old eyes like myself.

Bought this (as I do most months, in other models) for disabled veterans in long term care and treatment facilities where boredom is a real threat to effective recovery and entertainment is very low on the budget. The Public doesn't seem to remember these people unless it's Christmas - (you can only watch just so much TV you know?). THIS MODEL is well made, it even comes with some metal strips to put in the base inside so that the ship won't tip over when displayed. Parts are small and a set of plastic tweezers would have been useful if included, but as most models these days, they weren't. BUT - a cheap emery board (nail file) and a pair of metal tweezers will be all you'll need besides model glue to build this although I do recommend a ziplock plastic bag also to keep it in during construction so little parts don't end up in the bedpan or wherever. A Really GOOD, fun to build and different kind of Battleship- all the main guns being forward. Comes with a lengthy description of the Battleship and how it came to be - very nice . I'd definitely buy from this company )Tamaiya) again (this is the third model I have purchased from them in the past 6 months, and each was well made-detailed and fun to build, and definitely affordable).

Used to build them when I was a kid lot o fun

Appeared relatively new (not like a vintage version), box was sealed and in very good shape. The model was very nicely designed and everything fits together nicely. The forward gun turrets are a little loose, so I may be using polycaps left over from my Yamato set to secure them, but only a minor detail.

Old Mold, flashing, some pieces dont line up exactly perfect, but overall a good kit. The kit can be mediocre, to challenging, since it has a good deal of small pieces, and how much painting detail you plan to do.

This model kit is really nice and better than Airfix kit! It is worth making!

Great arrival as it was a few days early. Never built a model this small and detailed. Do be very careful with the smaller guns as the are extremely fragile. Great product and have already ordered more Tamiya ships.

Die Produktbeschreibung ist unvollständig!Leider steht hier nirgends, dass es sich um ein !!WASSERLINIENMODELL!! handelt, jedenfalls soweit ich es gesehen habe, darum gibt es einen Stern abzug.Die Verarbeitung der Teile ist hingegen großartig. Ich war kurzweilig gewillt es zurück zu schicken, allerdings brennt es mir ein wenig unter den Fingernägelt, es auf ein Diorama zu setzen.MfG

Returned to modelling after a long break. I chose this kit because I haven’t a lot of space for larger scale kits. Also this kit was inexpensive for my return to modelling. The kit was fine and I enjoyed making and painting it. I think that the result looks good.
