Works well for downrigger weights. Sturdy for plastic. Does not come with mounting screws.

These are easy to install (depending where on your boat you want them) and easy to use. They have 4 screw holes, one on each side, but with only 2 screws in they feel pretty stable. I screwed each side down just to be safe. I use 6lb downrigger weights with fins and it holds them perfectly. Having the slots for the fins really keeps it in place but it would hold a ball weight just fine. Having the fin slot on all sides helps to position your weight however you like. They are a little bigger than I thought they would be but this helps in case you are switching out your downrigger weight. This is one of the best deals I found for a downrigger weight holder and it comes in a black and white version.

this was very easy to install. I put it in place, drilled 3/16" holes in my aluminum gunnel, and used 3/16" rivets to secure it. Even in rough water, the 12LB down-rigger weights that I use do not come out of the holders unless I lift them out!

Nothing worse than having a 10 or 12 pound weight rolling around on the floor of your boat smacking into your ankles! These simple plastic brackets screw right on to your gunnels keeping your downrigger weights under control! They are made out of a fairly heavyweight plastic and are deep enough to hold 8,10,or 12 pound, the three sizes I use, weight with ease. I have had them on my boat for 2 seasons in a marine environment and there are no signs of degradation from saltwater or UV light.The only Con that I come up with is the price ! At $15 for a pair they seem a trifle expensive! Regardless I would highly recommend these simple but very effective brackets!

Works exactly like it should. Holds 10# cannonballs in place in my side pockets on back deck of boat. Did not even need to screw down the holders.

Just as good as the Scotty holders. I use these with 15lb balls. Has screw holes for mounting to a horizontal surface.

Equally to everything I've seen in stores, but costs less!!!

Perfect for storing heavy bomb and stopping it from banging round in the boat.

Don’t put them too close to your scotty downriggers (I have mine on the rotatable mounts and the dont clear - if you have risers then it’s probably fine). Good product - well made, I expect they’ll last forever.
