It works, but it's such a PITA that I'm replacing it.
PROs:The USB ports are conveniently located and none of the wall-worts or plugs interfere with them.Universal outlets so you can plug things in from anywhere - with the caveat that this unit doesn't convert between 110V and 220V or vice versa so I'm not sure how well that would actually work.CONs:Not relevant to me, because I'm unlikely to drag a power strip around with me, but the wall end us US plug only. Makes me wonder if this is intended to be for people using non-US devices in the US (assuming again that they can switch between 220 and 110The biggie though is the ease of use. I bought this unit because it had enough outlets for my needs, and two USB slots for my devices. However, the actual outlets are frustrating to use, at best. There are plastic bits that protect the parts of the outlet that you're not using, so you have to force - rather aggressively - the plug into the outlet. Every time. So if you want to move say, a laptop between two locations, you end up jamming the plug in repeatedly, and sometimes the plug just doesn't want to go in at all, so you have to try another socket. So, all-in-all if you're a US consumer using US plug components I cannot recommend this at all. If fact I can't not recommend this enough. If you're using one of the international plugs this covers in the US, YMMV but I suspect there are better solutions for you.

Israel trip?
USA plug that takes 110/240 volts. Add Israeli adapter to plug into the wall, then all your USA outlets will fit into this power strip. Also if you needed to plug an Israeli outlet such as a lamp or TV into this adapter then you could do it. Example: the room your staying in has a single outlet but both a TV and lamp are plugged into it, unplug those from outlet and then into your power strip, then add your Israeli adapter and plug your power strip into the wall. The power strip can charge all your camera batteries and phones while you sleep and recharge for your next day in the Land. Not a converter, so check your individual appliances for capability on voltage.

Love it - hassle free trip to Europe
I love this power strip! I took it on a vacation to Europe and it was a lifesaver many times over.Note that the plug end is a USA style plug so I needed a Europe adapter on the end of the cord. But then I could plug in everything -- all my USA stuff, and the hotel's Europe stuff, all into this one strip, without ever worrying about what fit where. The outlets on this strip will accept most anything. Also this is rated for 250 volt Europe electricity while many power strips available in the US are not rated for 250 volts.Of course this does NOT transform the 250 volt Europe electricity down to US 125 volts but I was surprised to find that all my computer-like digital devices happily accepted 250 volts. However you should check the rating on everything you take to Europe to make sure it won't be fried by the high voltage.

Piece of junk, avoid
I thought this would be a great item for traveling, but apparently not.It comes with a "feature" where ALL outlets are "blocked" by an internal piece of plastic, which "slides" out of the way as you insert a plug. However, the force required to "slide" the plastic out of the way is greater than the force required to break the internal plastic holding the plug in place. The first item I plugged in broke the tiny plastic holding the plug and the plastic blocking the outlet came loose inside of the box. I opened it up to discover 4 of the 5 2 pronged plugs had broken free internally and therefore no matter what you did, you could not plug anything into them as the item you were trying to plug in would simply push the "outlet" into the box and a connection would never be made.I'm very sorry I procrastinated too long to be able to return this POS. Hopefully this review saves someone else from buying this junk.

Not sure about the USB ports, but this is a solid product.
Picked up one of these to use internationally where 230V is normal. After 6 months of heavy use I'm quite happy with it.That said, the outlets are sometimes hard to plug things in to and I'm not sure what output the USB ports can do. I think they may only be 500mA, not the 2A we're all used to these days, because it charges devices slowly. I usually just power my travel router from here which works fine and saves another outlet+USB power adapter.

GOOD
It was kinda hard to plug in the plugs and it still is but i managed to make it work. I like that i can put my various different chargers into this one strip and the USB ports.

Worked great for travel
Only have one converter? Then this is for you. I used this while traveling Europe. I had one set of adapters. This enabled me to charge two iPhones, one iPad, camera battery, MacBook Air, and run a hair dryer. At one point I had all 8 plugs filled. Try doing that while traveling! This strip is perfect because it handles the different voltages and has the ability to use different plugs. I just needed to have one adapter.

With two cameras, two cell phones, a Playbook, and a laptop this was very handy. Construction is pretty sturdy. Some of the plugs are tight but okay. This is not a small item.
