I like to look at all my Amazon options before I purchase. Not only is this set the best bang for your buck, since it comes with many pieces of furniture and people, but it is very sturdy and well made. There are no stray paint marks to detract from the appearance and all of the pieces are glued tight. I purchased one set after I refurbished a doll house for a friend. The second set is a gift fo my granddaughter.

We got this doll house set for our daughters third birthday. She loves it! The pieces fit perfectly insider her Melissa and Doug Fold and Go dollhouse.The furniture pieces have held up well to her and herfive year old brother playing with them. The flower in the vase comes out but easily goes in again. There is more furniture than her little house can hold, but she came up with a solution. She opens her house and puts the extra furniture in front. The vase, lamp, and TV set are definitely chokable pieces for young toddlers and babies.The doll family is cute, but not without some small faults. Or do I mean parts? The arms and legs are bendable, which is a huge plus, but one of the "hands" came off a doll within the first two weeks. We were able to glue it back on with some wood glue. The baby does not have bendable parts and is more pillow-like.Overall this is a cute set but those with babies or young toddlers should be careful because of the small pieces.

I purchased a dollhouse for my 3-year-old daughter. although she isn't in a stage where she puts things in her mouth I still didn't feel comfortable buying tiny little dollhouse pieces. The 1/12 size. These pieces are larger and sturdier. The only part I didn't like was the colors. I wish they were all pine so that they could easily be painted or coming and more neutral pleasing color. I ended up painting over the colors to fit the dollhouse. It took some time and was kind of fun to DIY. But what really sold me was the price. Most individual rooms for a dollhouse are at least $20. It was a great value for the price. Very happy with the product and my daughter loves it!

So I refurbished a dollhouse I found at a garage sell and was looking for a reasonable set of wooden furniture. I have a daycare, so I did not want anything super fancy or expensive. Also, I wanted to go for more block colors, because boys and girls love to play with this dollhouse. I did not want anything frilly or character themed... or Princess like. I felt this set was very simple and functional. Cabinets and drawers open, making fun activity for tiny fingers. I mean it may not withstand extreme abuse, but I think it is durable enough. My children are quite well behaved, and we do not abuse toys. ALSO BEST PART... The Calico Critters (AKA Sylvanian Family) dolls fit these quite well. Those are the kinds of dolls we use for the dollhouse. I actually bought the full house set too plus added on this bedroom set (since our house had another big bedroom). I love this set. This set is for smaller dolls. Not the big 12 inch fashion dolls. Think Calico Critter and Little People size dolls.

Our granddaughters are only 2, but they enjoy having a dollhouse and these little figures. The little people are easily recognizable as mom, dad, grandparents, and children. They like the fact that a dog and cat are included. We felt we might be rushing things to get the set so soon, but they enjoy it a lot, and our daughter likes the fact that they are just like the ones she had as a child. They are pretty sturdy, but they aren't indestructible. However, for the price they are a great bargain.

I ordered this doll house furniture to refurnish a doll house for my grandchildren age 3 and 6. It is an old handmade dollhouse that my children used. Some of the reviews have been negative but I have found, in the 3 days that we have had the furniture, that it is colorful, sturdy and well put together. They have been dropped on the floor, stacked with other toys and played with for several hours. Nothing has broken. We are very pleased with the product and they are are stronger and more inviting to use than other plastic ones we have had. They fit nicely with the wooden family that we had purchased earlier.
