Love it! Goes great with my barnwood ceiling and lights my bedroom well

I like this light, but don't "love" it. It's perfect for a rustic, country house with exposed wood beams or paneling on the ceiling. My wife is not a fan of the design, and that's unique because our tastes are almost identical. She feels it's too "modern and wire-y", which is fair. It would fit better in a large open space, with low ceilings, and other fixtures around the area as it's certainly not bright enough to be the single light for a room.I love: short height. Clears doors on ultra low ceiling in 50+ year old home. Wire around bulbs, bulb bases and frame are all metal.I don't like: Plastic pieces at base of bulbs..design mixes plastic with metal. Structural integrity doesn't bother me, but doesn't feel "high quality." The same amount spent on Allen Roth or similar design fixture at Lowes or Home Depot would get you same wattage with higher quality.

It took me forever to put together, but does not disappoint. It gives me the look of vintage for my kitchen. I have it 4 stars only because it took me several hours to put together and instructions were not clear.

The machining on the product is crude at best. Comes with crap instructions such as "Do not install in wet ceiling cavities" and says nothing about actually installing the unit. I purchased two inits; one came with properly marked wiring and the other came with two black wires with no markings - I guess they ran out of the proper wire. The mounting bracket has counter sunk screws and nuts that are not the right hardware to be used with this type of installation. Has no certifications on the box, in the box or on the little instruction page (single half sheet of paper). If your not mechanically inclined - this light is not for you! I question this product is certified for sales within the US.

Not quite as you see it in the picture. We bought this for our kitchen. After getting the product, we had to wait a few weeks before we could put it up. IMPORTANT to note here is this fixture is made to use Edison T10 bulbs, that is NOT stated in the description at the time of this review. Because we were unaware of this, we purchased Marconi Squirrel Cage Edison bulbs. In order for us to use these bulbs we has to unscrew all the nuts at the bottom of the cages, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as we would have never otherwise found the prongs to be rusted. Also the plate that holds the screws had paint peeling as well as some rust. One of the retainers that attaches the bulb and cage to the base was missing. Also it shows the fixture to be completely black, this is not the case. Where the cages meet the base, those are shiny gold. The company does work with you, they immediately sent us a new fixture, asked us to use the T10 Edison bulbs (long and thin bulbs) and told us they were working on a fix to adapt other bulbs without having to take apart the cages. They also told us, when they get them in, they will send us a new fixture. IF they can and do make the fixes to thus fixture, it will be beautiful.

We love our fixture, but what should have been a 20 minute installation, took half a day. Unfortunately, in this day and age, you get plastic components, where there were once metal and ceramic. I had to superglue two different plastic components that should have been, by appearance, a friction fit. I am a problem solver by nature, so I did what I had to do. The finished product is terrific. Yes, I could have sent it back or appealed for a new part, but I wanted the fixture to work NOW! Buy this product, but know that you may have to be creative to get to the finish line.

The picture is a little misleading. The light fixture is small, but it does light up the room. I thought that it would be close to the size of a ceiling fan, I mean it is made to look like one, but if you look at the picture, the blade is the same size as the light bulb. I hope that helps. With that being said, I really like it. You can buy white Edison bulbs. I think I order some LED ones.
