Vintage UV Parasol Umbrella for Rain - Large Windproof and Ultra Light Purple

People keeps asking me where did I get it and complimenting it. It's pretty, but it's also very well made and useful. I can't necessarily verify the UV statements lol because idk how one would but I use it if I'm going to be out in the sun and it feels good to be under. It's also good under the rain. It's pretty big but not over bulky.

TBD how it will do in the rain, but I bought this to be a sun parasol and it's going to do a fantastic job for that--the gold/purple shift on the fabric looks amazing in the light <3 would love to see if the other colors have a similar effect. I'll be taking it to the desert for a week at the end of the month, will update the review later if there are any construction issues but it seems well made and is sufficiently tall to double as a walking stick (I'm 5'9").Update: it's done just fine in the rain so far, though I haven't been caught in a heavy storm with it and it seems like some water does absorb instead of roll off (fabric isn't hydrophobic)--not problematic to date but I have been careful to leave it open to let it dry out between uses.

So I hope this doesn't seem dramatic but this is the most beautiful umbrella I have ever owned in my life and it works so well! It was slightly bent upon arrival but I'm attributing that to the condition the box was in when it arrived. It was very easy to put straight and not an issue fortunately. I am so happy I decided to get this and look forward to the next bit of rain!

I got an orange umbrella for my wife and I to use while walking around in the rain. Love the color, the iridescent quality is the kicker for me. I’ve gotten compliments on multiple occasions on the umbrella. It’s large enough for two people to fit under comfortably. I’ve recommended it to multiple people.

Songlad I bought this umbrella! It is more beautiful than pictures will ever show - rich color, iridescent, beautifully crafted, sturdy - and so light weight! Went back and bought a second one. First was purple for my daughter, second was red for me. 10/10 would recommend.

The first umbrella I purchased was the "coffee" color, though the actual label reads "chocolate". The top, or canopy, is a deep metallic gold which turns purplish at different angles, like two of the customer images taken outdoors, and the underside is that same purplish color, though not metallic or iridescent. My first impression was that it was too metallic for my taste, not a subtle sheen at all, and I have no idea why they call it coffee or chocolate. I think burnished gold best describes it. I felt uncomfortable using it for protection on a harshly bright sunny day (just feels a little awkward to me), but the complements started immediately. I was outside for about twenty minutes and in that time received at least ten enthusiastic complements, and some serious inquiries about where I'd gotten it. Definitely less awkward! As popular as it was, purchasing some for gifts seemed like a good idea, and my daughters wanted one, too, so I purchased the last gold one in stock and two of the blue. I'd submitted a question about whether or not the grey and black models were different colors at different angles because the stock photos don't show this and though that did not get answered, one person said they'd purchased a blue one that looked gold or copper held at different angles. I wasn't sure what to make of that since a customer image showed a gorgeous magenta colored sheen in photos of a blue one, but I took a chance. Well, the blue ones we received aren't color changing in the least. The blue is a beautiful shade, but it just looks more silvery in sunlight like any metallic blue would. The underside is a flat, dark blue-grey. One of my daughters is disappointed. The other was holding out for a red, which is now back in stock, but it doesn't appear to be color changing in the sunlight either, though I've only seen the stock photos of that color. Each of the umbrellas we received is very well made, high quality. I doubt you'd find better in this price range. However, we were expecting them all to be iridescent based on the claim in the listing as well as the customer images, reviews, and comments. We are definitely keeping the gold ones, but we're not as sure about the blue ones or future purchases. I suppose the materials used vary. Also, I could not find mention of UV protection of any kind on the labeling, but with it I felt cooler and did not feel that telltale burning on my skin I would have felt without the umbrella.

Love this so much. It’s beautiful and fun. Like that it’s larger then average size. It was perfect for the Endometriosis Awareness wall I was on. Yellow on the outside and a beautiful purple on the inside.
