(Review for full size bed)Pros: All pieces made of solid wood/plywood, assembles easily, overall design is good. The slats are heavy plywood - better than Ikea-quality and are screwed onto the frame (sturdy compared to Ikea).Cons: Poor workmanship. There are dings during finishing, cracks in wood (not naturally occurring as the warranty text indicates), edges that were damaged during manufacturing have been half-finished with filler, ...Overall the finishing workmanship is very poor - the edges are not finished evenly, wood glue has leaked through and dried up. The drawer rails are poor quality plastic - don't know how long it is going to hold.The warranty conveniently claims that some/all of these are not covered. I wish I could also conveniently say that some of my payment is fake money :-)The headboard, footboard and frame are apparently made out of pine - but, I'm not savvy enough to figure out if it the harder, denser (albeit better) Pine species or not. It doesn't dent as easily as Ikea wood, but it is also not hard enough to be considered good quality.Overall, I'm disappointed because the design is good and for the money, if the craftsmanship was good, it would have been a great product. IOW, for the craftsmanship, this bed is probably worth around $400.(It is made in Vietnam, if anyone is interested in its origins).

Was easy as pie to put together. The bed is one piece and the drawers on the bottom just slide in so you are able to put the drawers somewhere else if you like. The drawers come built and you just need to put a little piece together. Great quality. Everything is included and i didnt have to buy any extra screws. My drill came in handy.

we purchased this bed for our daughter because it was time for her to go from a little girl bed to a big girl bed and we were uncertain about buying a bed offline but this bed was easy to assemble beautiful and extremely sturdy we were really surprised and shocked by how sturdy this bed was we are super happy with this purchase...

My daughter loves the bed. It was well made and simple to assemble. The only problem is that two pieces were missing from the center lat support. Two small 2x2 threaded pieces that extend the lay supports to the ground were missing, so I could not finished the support assembly. Can’t figure out how to contact the seller to get the parts. The only reason its a one star is because Amazon has no way to contact the seller to get the missing parts...and I am NOT taking apart the whole effing bed assembly and trying to send that back...that's ridiculous over two tiny wooden sticks. C'mon Amazon, this can't be the first time this has happened to someone, why is there no button to click or some way to contact the seller. Maybe I am just missing it.

We ordered this bed three different times for my daughter. It arrived damaged each time. Once may have been due to carrier handling, but most of the damage seems to have been there when it left the manufacturer. We finally ended up keeping the least damaged of the three because my daughter liked the style of the bed and Amazon worked with us to discount the price in lieu of returning the bed all together. Also, the storage unit only slides under the bed - it does not attach to the bed in any way. Accordingly, it moves with even the slightest push. I would not recommend this product. However, I do commend Amazon on its customer service in this instance.

I ordered two of these beds for a beach house and after assembling i was so impressed i ordered two more.No press board all solid pine.Only problem was there were no screws for the boards that go under the mattress so i had to supply them.customer service at hillsdale bedding was no help.

Hands down I love this bed and so does our daughter...easy to assemble less than 2 hours, strong and sturdy foundation. Highly recommended!!
