Grows well even in harsh conditions
So this was a bit of a trial for my garden as it has extreme high clay content and wanted to see of anything would grow at all.I thought i would give it a go to see of any grass would grow, I broke up the clay soil as much as I could, spread it raked it in and watered it daily. It did take around 14 days to appear, but honestly I was amazed any appeared.Going to properly grow in spring now and mix a lot of good quality top soil in and see how it goes but I will buy this again.

Takes a while to get going... but gets there in the end.
Got a three metre square area under a large Sycamore tree at the end of our garden next to a shed. Nothing ever grows there easily as it's shaded for most of the spring/summer... and then whatever does grow there is destroyed by the fallen Sycamore leaves during the autumn/winter period (even if I do a regular clearing of them for composting). I thought I'd try Graminex Shade Grass Seeds this time round to see if they were easier to establish in the shade and if they would be more robust.I raked the soil and started seeding in the middle of April (2020), what with all the uncharacteristically warm weather we were having... which did feel a bit early in the year. And I did over seed slightly. I watered once a day, generally in the evening. I wasn't hopeful after having not seen a single blade pop through a fortnight later... but they have just started to show on week three. It's a little patchy and all appears to be growing at different rates but at least it's got going. It bodes well considering it's practically in the dark under that tree...!

grass seeds
They did germinate in the end but it took a while. Depending on the weather you may have to wait about four weeks.

Does the jump
I was sceptical as i have purchased a few different types of grass seed previously which have been rubbish but want to try and pay a little extra this time and get a good product. This was fairly pricey but the results have been great.

Seeds feed quite a large area. Quick growth.
laid these seeds at the beginning of lock down, 3 weeks later the seeds had germinated and my grass is no longer patchy. The seeds went far !
