Cooks & cleans well, but the timer is useless.
I like the way it cooks. I really like how easy it is to clean. Usually cleans with a paper towel. Sometimes bake on will require dis detergent where it cleans very easy in the sink. Also the suggested cooking time & temperature on the lid is nice. The biggest drawback is the timer. It makes one little soft beep, & that's it. The only way you can even hear that little beep is to be right over it. Otherwise just normal kitchen noise such as the sound of the George Foreman Grill cooking drowns out that little beep. Either get a louder beep that is continuous, or just leave it off. That's not a deal breaker because I just use the timer on the stove.

Excellent Product Great Price
My teenage son loves to cook and waffles are one of his favorites so when I found the George Forman Grill with changeable plates that usually sells for $140 on a clearance rack at Target for just $25 I snapped it up as a Christmas present for him. It wasn't until I got home that I realized most of the plates are sold separately. The lame muffin pan was included but the cool waffle iron was not. My first thought was great the pans probably cost $50, but it was Amazon to the rescue once again. I was so relieved to find the waffle plates on Amazon for only $18. My son loves the grill and has already made me waffles with it and they were delicious! The plates are also very easy to clean, I know this because while my son is happy to cook for me, cleaning up is another story! LOL

Great idea, but eggs always had brown crusts on bottom
We really wanted to love this pan. And did. Kind of. It's easy to use and was a great alternative to stopping for breakfast sandwiches on the days we wanted quick eggs before lunch. But them temp setting was never quite right and the eggs always had a hard brown film on them. (See my review on the Evolve grill, which we really did not like in general). My husband has used one of the old, bottom-of-the-line George Foreman grills several times a week for years. When we moved, we tossed it and upgraded to this. I was hoping to find something that would be not only easy to cook burgers, but also easy for him to make something simple when he's in a rush and doesn't want to fool with a bunch of pots and pans. The biggest issue we had is that the temperature setting is hard to get right. Eggs were either under-done or too crispy on the outside and not quite right on the inside. My husband really did like being able to make omelettes and used this insert A LOT while we had the grill. This is a man who would prefer to eat an egg sandwich at Starbucks every day for the convenience of it. So I know that cooking them had to be easy. The problem was that the eggs would always have a tough brown crust on the bottom. He would eat them, but even looking at it I knew it was very unappetizing. We could never get the temp setting right so this didn't happen and he want back to the pan on the stove.I think this problem was not related to the plates themselves, but rather the grill itself was hard to set to the right temp. If you consider yourself a master at the Evolve grill and really like how it cooks, maybe you can get the omelettes to come out right. We just never could. We are returning and buying the basic, 4 burger Foreman grill in the same color and paying the extra $10 for the 4 vs 2 burger size and removable plates. We can't get an omelette plate for that one, but given that this setup didn't really work for us, I'm not too worried about losing that functionality.

Perfect Loaded Two-Egg Omelettes Every Time
I love this accessory for my George Foreman GRP4842R 3-in-1 Multi-Plate Evolve Grill, Red (Grilling and Waffle Plates Included), Red . This kit comes with a top and bottom plate designed for making omelettes.First, be sure to turn the switch in the back of the George Foreman so that the cooking surface is level rather than tilted. Next, I mixed six eggs, peppers, onions, and cheese in a bowl (you could do more eggs if you have fewer fillings). Start the grill. I simply selected the "sear" function. Pour the mix into each pocket. After a few minutes the eggs are done. The non-stick cooking plates work like a charm, and the eggs slide right out.Perfect loaded 2-egg omelettes every time!I went ahead and bought these because I love omelettes. But I also saw that you can make pizza pockets and other "stuffed" sandwiches or even pastries. I am looking forward to experimenting with my omelette plates. Hey George, if you're listening, this product is another knockout!

Works great, but will overcook if following the directions
The omelet pans work great and take much of the work out of making great omelets. My only (rather small) gripe is that, as with most other George Foreman grill instructions, if you follow the directions on the flier that is included with the plates the omelets will be overcooked. (I figure that the manufacturer does this intentionally to curb potential lawsuits from undercooked food. It was the same with the regular grill plates which cook burgers into leather if the directions are followed, lol). But after a little trial and error with the time and temperature, I can now make perfect omelets with these. They're also really handy for making "McMuffin" type breakfast sandwiches on English muffins. Yum!

Great adjunct to the GF Evolve!
I bought this for my evolve. I cook up my little omelets in batches. Package them up. Put them in the fridge Then grab them for breakfast in the morning. I just heat them in the microwave for 30 sec. In the morning. Easy peasy. I think the coating could be better which I took off a star for that. My GF stays out on my counter as I use it daily. All of the attachments are quite handy. If wiped out while hot, the cleanup for me is easy. I just toss them in the washer when cooled. I have even made little empanadas in these as well. Turned out pretty good. Better than frying them.

LOVE this GRILL!
One of the best purchases we have ever made on Amazon. We love this grill. We have several attachments for it. It is SUPER easy to clean. It is SUPER easy to cook with and it does a WONDERFUL job cooking our food. We have made omelets, regular over medium eggs to perfection. I have to try some other foods. The ceramic grill is amazing. I've cooked all kinds of great cuts of meat on that grill and they turn out perfect every time!

it's ok...
We like the idea of being able to bake muffins in the George Forman Grill, and the non stick coating seems tough, as usual with the GF products, but I was disappointed with the quality of workmanship on the handles, the rivets already showing signs of corrosion and we have only washed it ready for first use. I would have liked to have seen the handles and fixings of such a much better quality for George Forman. The other products we have bought for the grill, the griddle, tray and omlette trays are of much better quality. We shall see how the muffin tray holds up over time...

Awesome!
Excellent, crispy on outside and fluffy on inside waffles with instructions given. Great results with from scratch and bisquick waffles. Really like that it makes two decent size waffles at a time.
