Purchased this at a discounted price, it was a Condition: Used - Very Good - Item will come repackaged. I was worried it was going to be dented, or damaged, or malfunctioning... heck no! This works great, looks great, and I've never been to glad that Amazon offers such a service!! I like this trash can because its more wide than tall so its it has a nice large opening and sits perfectly in its new home. The lid opens with vigor and if the can is empty it does rock it back a little. This doesn't bother me at all and the 5 second auto close is a perfect amount of time. I can also press the open button to keep it open until I press the close button. The bag storage on the back is great too, frees up some under the sink cabinet space!! Wish I got this thing sooner!!! I hate the foot pedal trash cans because they look tacky and something from my childhood at my nan's house... If you're shopping for one of these, get this, but definitely check the used section first for a huge discount!! You won't be sorry!!

Had this for a while now (1 year) and it was working great til the door stopped opening. Going to the manufacturer is not an option, so you're basically stuck with the decision to buy another one. I see there are other customers with the same issue.

good product but i am already having to buy a new one. changed the batteries and doesnt open anymore. not sure whats wrong with it. just under two years old.

I have been temporarily handicapped and my old garbage can had a foot pedal to open. What a pain if you are in a wheel chair, this new can is a godsend, opens very quickly, has a metal bail to hold the bag, my old one had plastic that broke. It also has a top that pivots up to lift out an overstuffed bag. It also has a bagholder in the back so you can lift one out and drop in a new one Pronto!I hope the battery life if good because we use it a lot, time will tell. It is pleasing to look at and a pleasure to use, although it is on the expensive side, one large issue if your pockets are small.Make sure that there is nothing directly over the can, eg counter top overhang. If the can is pushed back a little to far, it opens and stays open. This drove me crazy when we first got it, I said to my wife this thing is going back, it don't work for this amount of money? But then i figured it out one day when my wheelchair bumped into it, now everything is great and I love it.

We have had this trash can for a while and we love it. Works perfectly, but today we discovered that the bottom of the can cracked without us knowing it. This should not happen. It should be strong enough tio hold the size of trash it's designed for. Will contact GLAD customer support and see what they will do.I am changing my 1 star rating to a 5 star as we love this trash can. However, we recently discovered a crack on the bottom of the can (much to our disappointment) and contacted GLAD. After providing them with proof of purchase and a lot number (sticker inside the battery compartment) they agreed to send us a new trash can.

(13 gallon)So, we've been needing a new trashcan for the kitchen, a high traffic area. We cannot get even close to this thing without it opening up. At this rate I'll be replacing the batteries in 2 weeks, and batteries are not cheap.And it closes almost immediately, nowhere near the length of time it took in the video. Its literally closing before we can get the trash out of our hand.Its also very short, making you have to bend over to put a bag in, unlike our old one. As well, in the video, the bag clips? silver rods you hang the bag on, look as if they lock in place, or else the model had a ton of practice putting bags in. But in fact they do not, and you have to hold both of them up to secure the bag, which fits loosely and not tight at all, even when you put them down. You have to bend way down in the bottom of the can to make it go to the bottom while holding these rods down and then readjust the bag. And the bag dispenser on the back, we cannot use at all without taking our roll apart and folding all the bags, and we buy large rolls froms a wholesale store to save money on bags.Overall, I would say, make a hard pass on this trash can, its over priced for the quality of the product, looks nice, but doesn't work so well.Update 7/18/2021Its been just over a year, and here is our latest review: Bags are hard to insert and remove because bag rings inside won't stand up by themselves, so you have to hold it with one hand. Batteries last around 3-4 months depending on your traffic area, because anyone walking near it cause it to open. Trash, food, dust, etc gets trapped in the hinges very easily, making it difficult to clean. And last but not least, we have had ours for 13 months and it has quit working. Upon disassembling it I discovered the little plastic cog wheel inside was ground to a nub. Defective part, cheap part. Cannot be replaced due to the way its constructed, i.e. the hinges are pressed in place and encased in plastic. Once you take it apart to look at it, it is done. DO NOT BUY

Lots to love about this can. Very wide opening that you can easily toss large things or scrape an entire chopping board of scraps into. Single piece lid that lifts completely away (so easy to miss as you’re tossing trash) and plastic vs the metal so easy to clean. The motion sensor is sensitive enough that sometimes it raises if you walk by too closely, so zero issue with it not raising when needed. Just one touch to override open/shut cycle for when you need it to stay open for longer jobs.It DOES require some fitness to change the bag. But once you get the hang of it (like, after changing it the first time) it’s not worth taking stars away. The strange bag storage compartment on the back isn’t an ideal size to hold a full roll of extras, but that’s not an issue here.BEST thing of all, and the reason I bought one and then bought another after 6 months, is my 14 year old thought the first one was cool enough that putting another in his room actually made him WANT to put things in the trash. !!! A little less cleaning up after the teenager? Five stars.

J’ai bien aimé tant que ça fonctionnait. Elle est brisée et a l’air d’être neuve . Je suis très déçus car c’est assez cher
