Yeah so I decided I needed a washboard. Why, you never know. I figured I’d just have it in case of an emergency. I decided to take it for a test run today just to test it out. Wow!! Great washboard. It is large enough that I can wash my clothing and get them clean! It was super easy. Soap the metal part of the washboard and rub your clothing up and down on it. I was surprised how easy it was to use. It was lightweight and not heavy at all. It functioned just like my granny’s and I know this will last a long time. It’s sitting in the sun drying now but in the future if I have to hand wash anything I’ll reach for this washboard. It arrived early and was packaged with care. I’m not sure about the durability because I just got it but it held up nicely while I was using it and I’m sure I’ll get many uses out of it. The only thing I worry about is making by sure it doesn’t get mold so that’s why I left it outside in the full sun to dry.

I've always wanted a washboard. They're convenient to have around. I researched multiple brands and sizes and finally settled on this one. The surface area is large enough to wash towels and pillow cases. It offers enough scrubbing surface to effectively clean stains and soil that are deep in the fabric. Pre soaking is helpful but not necessary. Put together with the right soap or detergent, it's better than any washing machine. I quite enjoy knowing that I'm really getting my laundry cleaned. I've only had it for about a month but it's put together very well and seems like it should last a long time. I use it three days a week and always make sure I rinse of any excess detergent and allow it to dry before putting it in away. I definitely recommend it for any that's considering getting one.

Got it for decor in my laundry room, but clearly solid enough to use if one wanted to do so. Nice quality.

I love my old time washboard! Very sturdy and well made. It will last the rest of my life, I’m sure! If you enjoy doing things the old fashioned way, you will really appreciate this high quality product! I use Aleva Naturals bar soap with mine.

There something refreshing about returning to the simple act of washing clothes. This is about as primal as it get, just slightly more advanced than beating clothes on a rock. But unlike the modern logic board enabled washing machine, it get out the most tenacious of stains, and get anything as clean as humanly possible. The big plus is it is very calming and therapeutic. Surprisingly sturdy, simple. Oh those doubter that think Americans cant build anything anymore, well it largely true, but this little puppy shows there still some craftmanship left in the heartland...

I have used the washboard multiple times even though I have a very good washing machine available to me. This is great if I only want to wash one or two items or even a full load. It is also a valuable addition to my hurricane preparedness supplies. This, a tub, and a bar of soap are all I need to have clean clothes until the electricity is restored (which can be weeks.) This is a sturdy, practical device which is well made. When not using to wash clothes, I attach notes for my family with magnets. This is wonderful in our tiny house as we don’t need to take up room for a big appliance and it serves more than one purpose.

I have a van that I travel in. It's not big enough for me to put a washing machine in it, so I bought this washboard. I like it. It's sturdy and a great size - not too big and not too small. A great way to be able to wash clothes when there is no laundromat nearby or you don't want to go into town. You will be more self sufficient, even though you might not want to wash all your laundry like this forever. It's a lot better than just rubbing the fabric against itself.
