Cable Matters Mini HDMI to HDMI Adapter, Male to Female, Black

My wife wanted to use the larger monitor on the desk instead of looking at the smaller 14" Untrabook screen while working on assignments. To accomplish this we needed to adapt the DVI cable from the monitor to the Intel Ultrabook mini HDMI. Using a DVI to HDMI cable worked well connecting to the monitor, then with this adapter I down sized the HDMI connection to the Mini HDMI size that the Ultrabook has. This adapter works well and now my wife can use the full size monitor and have less eye strain through the day. To be clear, of all the options that include cable etc, we bought only the mini adapter that adapts from full HDMI to mini HDMI, since we already had HDMI cables.There are other ways to get video from the Ultrabook to the monitor (USB adapters) but this simple and clean solution is working well for us. You do need to make sure that the mini adapter is fully seated in the Ultrabook, and then due to all of the pressure the longer and heavier cable is exerting we put the Ultrabook aside and don't bump it. It stays connected fine that way.5 stars for a high quality low cost adapter that had worked well for us for months now.

I needed an HDMI to mini HDMI adapter for my raspberry pi 400 to a new monitor. I forgot to check the monitor's input, so this worked as intended. So far, no issue.

Finally found an adapter that works great with the Pico projector that fits straight in.

Having used this adapter for some time now I am very pleased with my purchase. I use it with my Canon digital camera. The price was great, the video loses no dpi quality from camera to monitor, AND I don't have to wind up a cable after every use. Great product. Only one down side: its so small and light it's easy to misplace and lose if you don't have a place to store it. I almost washed it with my trousers after an especially scary video...and I'd rather not go into detail. Cheers!

I got this adapter for my Dell Venue 11 Pro. I needed to connect it to TV while watching movies or having a presentation. The adaptor arrived on time, perfectly packaged. It is easy to connect and works perfectly with my tablet. No cons at all and I'm really happy with the purchase. Oh and I prefer this adapter over a cable one because I hate connecting a lot of cables to do one simple thing. If you are looking for an adaptor from mini HDMI to an HDMI port then this is the perfect piece for you. Please note the difference between micro and mini, this one is mini HDMI. I should have read the negative reviews. I plugged the adapter into my tower pc and the weight of the hdmi cable must have caused the mini hdmi connector to break inside the adapter. It worked on the first test going to my monitor. I moved the HDMI plug to my AVR and it stopped working. Of course this made me check all kinds of things until I found the mini plug was loose in the adapter (flopped up and down.I had to purchase a short mini hdmi to hdmi corded adapter and all is well, just like others had to do reading the reviews.

You are better off getting a short cable adapter, rather than this "cableless" adapter. If you're needing it for the back of your PC, be mindful of how much space you have back there. It can interfere with other things next to it, that you need to plug in. Also check how close your mini HDMI port is to the metal frame of your PC case. Mine was right next to the metal frame so plugging it in was problematic, and kind of always put pressure on the video card, because it was being "pushed" by the PC case.Other than that, the adapter works with no problems. It just wasn't best suited for my application
