The book provides a straightforward description of how to conduct a literature review. The advice the authors give is very reasonable. The problem is that the content of the book is at a suitable level for high school and undergraduate students. If you are a doctoral student, you will probably find it patronizing. I am disappointed to say I have learned next to nothing from it.Because the book is advertised to graduate students, I cannot give it a high score. If you have no experience whatsoever with reasoning about bodies of literature, then you may find it somewhat instructive, however.

Full sections of text missing.Book is designed to be step by step guide to writing a literature review, but in place of the detailed exercises are greyed out boxes with no text. Big publishing fail / not useful in current condition.

Out of all the books to have missing content, it had to be this one!!!! Ordered one book, it had missing content. Ordered a replacement book, still no content!!!!

Good book and logically walks you through the process. Some parts are easier to comprehend the others, and some activities may be more interesting. However, I still found this book the most engaging and user-friendly in the market.

I wish I had found this book earlier in my PhD program. It's pretty basic (definitely would be useful in a masters or undergraduate thesis situation as well) but that was what I needed. I was able to read through it in about an afternoon, and it helped me to re-think my strategy for approaching the lit review on my dissertation. I will recommend this book to students coming into our program.

Great text for instructional purposes; useful for teaching the fundamentals of writing a literature review. Great for explaining how to complete chapter 2 of a dissertation.

For simeone who has never completed a litersture review, this book provides both process and technique. It summarizes and then methodically detsils each step and substep and provides tools to aid in application. The mechanics of organizing a literature review are clear to me as a result of reading this book.

This book clearly lays out a process to follow with checklists along the way. I had checked the book out if the library for an assignment and liked it so much I bought it.

Creo que le hace falta el lenguaje cercano a los estudiantes, para poder ser una guía de la delimitación de tema de investigación. Los cuadros y diagramas que emplea son muy útiles, pero me parecen repetitivos.
