BMW M Wallet

This is my second BMW wallet, after 5 years, and the first is still in good condition. I just wanted to get one with the M logo. Soft and nice leather, high quality manufacture, classy stitches and useful pockets for cards. I like the red leather piece to separate the main pocket, it creates a sense of luxury. Confortable in size, not bulky at all. Great detail the additional cards holder, a surprising added value.

Got this wallet after a lot of looking around and even a few purchases that had to be returned. I'll start off by saying I *hate* thick wallets. I do not carry that much in them and hate sitting on them so I wanted one that was big enough to hold my stuff and small enough that the wallet itself did not add bulk. It is slimmer when loaded than many "slim-fit" wallets I considered.This one has a slightly larger profile (a little longer and taller) than some wallets but the trade-off is that it is thinner. I like how the passbook part (the flip-up thing with the window) is removable so I took that out and just don't use it. The result is a thinner wallet that still has room for 6-7 cards (credit, ID, etc.), business cards, two interior pockets (for pics) and two slots for $, receipts, etc.It is very well constructed with straight seams and stitching and solid materials. The BMW logo is embossed on the inside and the M-logo is affixed with glue to the outside. Some have reported the M logo came off early but mine is still there and if it does, I'll just glue it back on. The red accent stripe between the money slots is a nice touch.Another thing a few reviewers have commented about is the smell. I agree that it does not come out of the box smelling like a nice leather coat (BTW, the box is really nice - the wallet arrives in an inner draw-string fabric pouch and then inside a sturdy box). It is made of leather but has a slightly less than leathery smell - kind of hard to describe but maybe a little medicinal. Anyway, I used some leather conditioner on it to soften it up a bit and that got rid of the smell. Now it smells like a nice leather coat or the interior of my car.I do happen to have a BMW but that is not why I got the wallet. The fact is that it meets all my needs. If you want a thinner wallet with a slightly larger profile, a removable passbook, two $ slots, and a stylish, attractive design, I definitely recommend it. That it happens to also be BMW-branded is a bonus for me.

The BMW wallet is premium black leather with and accent red lined money holder. Soft but strong. Great value for what you get.

I bought this as one of my Boyfriend's Birthday presents, and he loved it!I don't know why people are complaining about the way it smells... it smells good... like real leather..It looks really high end, the inside of the wallet has a red divider piece which I think is creative, and very sports-car-esque!My boyfriend has a BMW M3 Convertible, so naturally this was the perfect accessory.This arrived very quickly and was packaged beautifully. It came with a "dust-bag" which had a BMW logo on it... and will come in handy for storage when he isn't using it.I'm not sure if this will continue to be his primary wallet as it is a little larger than the last one he had...i did make the mistake of not opening and examining it closely before wrapping it, there was a price card stashed in there, so if you are buying it as a gift, be sure to take that out.He also loved that I didn't spend an arm and leg on this, he was actually shocked because he was very impressed with the quality, This also left lots of room in the budget for a few other goodies for his birthday.I highly recommend this as a gift, especially if the recipient is someone who wouldn't typically buy themselves something like this.Very pleased with my purchase, Thank you Amazon!!!

my dad loves it!!

The item was marketed as leather but it is leatherette. It feels like vinyl to the touch and smells like so too. But at the current price point (~$35), I didn't really expect it to be genuine leather. It also means less care is required (my former genuine leather wallet was ruined by moisture).The wallet is made in China (It is written BIG on an insert). Although the material makes it feel on the cheap side, the build quality is actually good. It will probably last a long time.Capacity is not exceptionally high, with 7 slots + 2 back slots, and a clear cover insert that can hold 2 ID cards (1 is inserted into the slot so not visible). I don't keep coins in the wallet so the set up is fine for me. The red "leather" stripe at the billfold is just 0.5 inch wide, and it is just cloth beyond that, but it is a nice aesthetic touch.So I would say buy this wallet for its utility, or the BMW mark (at the cheap price)... But if you are looking for a genuine leather wallet or a fashion item, then look elsewhere.
