Great coffee pot
I thought it'd be bigger so initially was a little disappointed but it does make about 7 real cups (8 if you fill it to the absolute rim) which I can easily work with. My idea was to brew tea in the pot, let it cool a bit, transfer to glass bottles I can keep in the frig as iced tea (except I don't ice it unless the weather is absurdly hot)--and this pot works like a charm. Don't know why it took me so long to figure this out, I was using a thermos metal pitcher (coffee thermos pitcher) and it was taking forever for the tea to cool off (duh). A perk with this Coleman is that I can put the whole carafe into the frig without fear that it's going to crack or break (that ol' hot-cold thing you have with glass). I don't have a Coleman machine, just use my hot water kettle to heat the water and then dump into the Coleman. I like that the spout has a grill on it so the tea bags can't come out prematurely. All in all, I am very pleased because now we're drinking lots of tea instead of juice or soda (I sometimes want something other than water).

Great stainless carafe
This pot is awesome. Especially for camping since it will not break like the glass ones. We ordered the 1st one and realized the weld did not attachave the pot itself to the spout so coffee would spill everywhere when you poured it. I emailed amazon and they immediately sent a replacement at no charge. The new carafe came and we have no problems with it. Great experience with this product and with Amazon!

Could use a couple improvements
Got this for my camper coffee maker, it works very well but there are a couple things they could have done a little better.Pros: Works with the Coleman Quickpot perfectly, and adds durability for a camping coffee maker. Honestly, this is what that coffee maker should come with...not the glass pot.Cons: There are no markings on the inside of the pot indicating the 'max fill' line when you're filling up the Quickpot. Also, it could be a little better thermally insulated. In cold weather camping, by my second cup of coffee, it was down to room temperature. Next time I'll probably transfer the whole thing into a thermos or something, but that seems like it defeats the point...I do recommend buying this, mainly because otherwise -- you're going to shatter your glass carafe if you take it camping eventually,.

Better than glass
I bought this to go with a Coleman stovetop drip coffee maker I purchased at the same time. The bottom of that melted and hot lead dripped all over my camp stove and table. Thankfully none landed on my foot. Last year my girlfriend decided she had enough of the percolator I got to make coffee and thought she would "upgrade" me to a Coleman Propane Drip Coffeemaker. What a miscalculation that was. It already has an internal part malfunctioning. That was $100 so I decided to write Coleman so called customer support since it had a 3 year warrantee. Here I am four weeks later without a response from them about a fifty cent valve that's defective. Coleman is NOT the company it once was 30 years ago... Just a forewarning. This coffee pot is better than the glass but the device that feeds it is lackluster at best and Coleman doesn't back their product

GREAT! Easy to clean, unbreakeable, fits most coffee makers but no auto shutoff
Only one I could find that wasn't thermal. Holds a lot of coffee and happens to fit my Gevalia 12 cup coffee maker PERFECTLY. Super easy to clean and of course.... NO MORE BROKEN GLASS CARAFE's!!!One trick is that it will not shut off the flow of brewing coffee if you pull it out before the brewing is done. So I disabled the shut off valve in the brew basket.

Beware: What we got is NOT what we ordered
Amazon sent us a rounded coffee pot with a different handle that doesn't fit our coffee maker. What we ordered is what's in the picture, a more square coffee pot with the rectangular handle that will fit our coffee maker. This coffee pot is completely useless to us. Very disappointed in you Amazon. Very very disappointed at the misleading picture.

Product not as pictured
The same thing happened to us as described by Jessica (Oregon) above. The product Amazon sent us is not what is pictured here but rather a more rounded version that only holds about 8 cups and doesnt quite fit the propane coffee maker....I have had the basket fill all the way to top with hot water because the pot doesnt reach to disengage the drip stop lever in the back. I have to keep re-adjusting the pot to push it against the lever, and the bottom doesnt fit correctly on the hot plate....We ordered this from Amazon about 6 months ago. I didnt even realize it wasnt the correct product and figured it was just a bad design until going back now and seeing the more squared off version in the picture...

I used it for the Coleman Camping Coffemaker for the propane stove. Perfect.
This worked perfectly on my Coleman Drip Coffeemaker for the propane camp stove. I went on a 2 week camp trip to Yellowstone/Teton and was concerned about taking the glass carafe. There was a small metal tab at the base of the handle that I had to bend upwards to allow the pot to sit on the hot plate but it was otherwise perfect. Since there is no measure on the pot just fill it with water from your coffee cup to get about the right amount of water.
