Sir Perky Novelty Bottle Stopper

I purchased this purely with the intentions of adding it to the wine basket at my husbands family swap, they all have a great sense of humor so why not?! It went over well and was a complete hit, everyone had a great laugh. It turned out that my sister, being the awesome sister she is, bought the same exact one for me! I was very happy to receive Sir Perky! I am a wine drinker and it's a great and fun gift that I can shock guests with, who doesn't like to laugh?! The quality of Sir Perky is excellent and I have no reason to be disappointed. I did not notice any glue or seams as other reviewers did, just smooth molded plastic and rubber stopper rings. Sir Perky fits perfectly in wine bottles but does not fit in Champagne bottles as I found out on New Years. So don't purchase it intending to use it for Champagne. Buy it for wine bottles and you won't be disappointed. Pros: Funny and shocking at the same time Works perfectly You can lay the wine bottle down and stand him on his feet for a wine stand! Cons: None!

This was a HILARIOUS gag gift! So I wrapped it up for Christmas, addressed it to my mom from Santa, and put it under my 94 year old grandmother's tree at Thanksgiving. We didnt arrive to my grandmother's house until the afternoon on Christmas day. All of the presents had been opened except for the ones for me, my husband, and kids. About an hour after we got there, Mom goes on to thank me for throwing her under the bus! She had opened it thinking it was from my grandmother since it said that it was from Santa. My grandmother, not seeing what was in the box, said that she had sent her helper into town to pick it up for her, which was not the case. They all got a big laugh once they figured out who the prankster was! We did try it in a bottle of wine and it works perfectly. The little man is very well made. It will be bringing lots of laughs for years to come!

Very fast shipping by seller. Extraordinary Packaging for all 6 items that I ordered, no damages on the packaging inside or out, I'm very impressed! Only thing is I haven't been able to try the product out yet.. LOL not because of lack of wine but I don't want anyone to see them until Christmas Eve.. :-) The products I purchased are the most unique, awesome little Christmas stocking presents the women in my family will be getting on Christmas eve. Its just so adorable looking .. LOL All my adult nieces, my sister-in-law, my daughter, my daughter-in-law, and my self.. are going to get our use out of him.. :-) We all love a great bottle of wine as we all get together are gather around the tree with all of our family here close together. Now I know we will add a bit of laughter to our family Christmas Party and I'm sure the men will see a bit of humor in this little red guy too. This is a fun gift to give anyone who drinks wine and can take a joke. They make seeing wine sitting out really funny and is a big conversation piece for those who have not seem it before. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because this is really really large. Some wines that can fit in certain places in the refrigerator could not fit after putting this on as a wine stopper. I have since used this more as a decoration piece or for red wine that I leave sitting out after opening. Overall, this is a really fun gift and sparks lots of conversation!

I bought this as a gift, which the recipient loved. It has gotten a lot of attention and given many laughs. I was asked to order about 5 more since then. The one I received looked exactly as the one pictured here on amazon and had no glue marks as another reviewers had. It fit in a wine bottle snugly as well. We even put the wine bottle on its side so Sir Perky was standing up and there was no wine leaking out. It's been 3 months since I purchased it and no issues to report.

We sent this to some relatives that enjoy wine. It is a cute novelty that their 12 year old boys really got a laugh out of too. Maybe it IS a little juvenile, but anything that can make us laugh is worth it. We use Amazon for most of our purchases and I update my reviews if anything changes with the products. I do this so other Amazon users can get a real feel for the life of the product. I am not associated with any company and all opinions are my very own.

The receiver enjoyed the gag gift

We bought one for grins, then quickly bought 3 more for friends ..... I mean, EVERYBODY should have a happy guy who wants to stick his schmingee into your wine bottle, right? Sadly, after one use, Sir Perky's .... uh .... "thing" came off! We had it stuck into a big bottle of Beringers's White Zinfandel (Costco), but only up to the first O-ring ... not all the way inserted. When we tried to open her up for another glass, his schwanz was left in the bottle. After a bit of wiggling, we freed it OK, so we again had access to the wine. I am attempting to re-pecker him now, using epoxy glue ... hopefully, that will work. Sir Perky is a valued member of our family now, but he needs his "member" attached permanently to stay in our good graces.
