You get what you pay for.
I suppose the chief advantage of this stand compared to the others I've seen is the much lower price, but be aware: IT IS LOWER FOR A REASON.Upon unpacking it from the shipping box (That was well put together, no complaints there), I was baffled as to how exactly I would assemble this stand. Crazy, seeing as looks so easy to put together from the pictures, yes?Well, at first it looked like I had received no hardware with my package. No screws, binders, or anything. Fortunately, I found what they apparently meant to use to assemble this wedged into the slot in one of the bases for this: four triangular wood shims, that looked like tiny doorstops. Apparently, these were meant to hold it all together.Unfortunately, said wood shims aren't really all that great at doing this; the chief problem there is that they're just too big for the holes they need to go in (The cross-beams have one hole on each side that pokes fractionally out on the outside of the vertical stand pieces) so I had to shave them down with an Xacto knife to make them fit.As well, the actual main pieces of this, the horizontal cross-beams and the vertical holder pieces just don't quite fit together right. The angles are slightly off, increasing difficulty of assembly. Finally, despite the title of this being a WALL display stand, be aware it has no hardware for hanging it up on a wall. You will need to get your own hooks/brackets/whatever to do that. All that said, It isn't too bad once it's finally together and secure. the slots for swords are appropriately sized, and it hasn't fallen apart under it's own weight yet. And it being so cheap is a bit of a plus, but I can tell WHY it was so cheap.

Not what i purchased
when ordering this product i thought i would have recieved what is pictured . however all i recieved was the sides that hold the swords and 3 black bars of various sizes to connect the two and THATS IT. no bottom stands so it can be put on the floor, there was no two nice large plat pieces of wood that connexted everything, none of it was there. i got nothing of what is pictured, i got some cheapo thing that was the complete opposite of what i thought i bought. this is not a stand its just a wall mount . you dont recieve what you purchased when buying this product and thats not right at all. however despite all the the rack is still really really nice. the funny thing is i decided to just buy the same thing again so that i would have two of the same things and the sword racks would look the same, but instead of getting this product they sent me the original one i intended to buy in the first place, haha i cant win haha . no matter which one you get they are both really nice just one is a standing rack and other is just a wall mount

This is a very sturdy, nicely built rack!
I really like this rack. No--it's not a finely crafted piece of furniture, but it is built well and sturdy, and flexible enough to place on your wall or by using the included feet, set it out in your practice room, or wherever. I noticed one reviewer stated that the wedges that hold the rack together were insufficient but I disagree. If you soak them in water for a few minutes, then place them into their respective holes and press them in tightly, then take a hammer and something to tap them in like a piece of wood (I used a tapping block for hard wood flooring) and CAREFULLY and gently tap them into place, you will find that they hold very well. After-all, wedges have been used for centuries to hold wooden objects together, and if you do it properly, they do a really good job of it! All-in all I think this rack is much nicer than some reviewers have stated!

Very cheap quality, four useless pegs, and chips and scratches.
This is not what I thought. It looks alright in the picture, but it is so cheap in person. It has multiple scrapes and chips on the finish, poor assembly pieces, and four wedges that I wasn't sure what to do with. Basically I just banged nails into the four corners to secure it. That kept it from being a wobbly piece of junk. There is no wall attachment so I just used L brackets and secure them under the top bridge. If you're handy and don't mind putting work into a piece then get it. If you need something that comes with instructions and you care about the piece having no imperfections...look elsewhere. I am posting a picture of it on the page. I would have given it two stars, but I like the way I set it up.

this one will be just fine. It's holding 7 for me
It looks a little cheap, and putting the top and bottom pieces in can be a bit of a struggle, but if you want a basic 8 sword stand that can actually stand the weight of 8 swords, this one will be just fine. It's holding 7 for me, and a fencing sabre at the top, o the same wall as the door. No amount of opening and closing in a couple months has made me have to re position it.Absolutely a good buy for the price.

Very Nice.
This is a pretty nice stand. I paid about $23 after shipping, and it seem worth it. It is much sturdier than the other stands I have ordered. The only cons are that all the tap holes are drilled in the same direction and it is much wider in person than it seems in the pictures, leaving too much of a gap for Tanto's or Wakizashi's.Overall, I am happy for my purchase. I'm not sure if I'd pay the $34 they want for it now, but it's a good stand.

Works well
The material is good, it holds my collection well. It's nice that it is either floor display or a wall mount. It uses these small shims to hold it together, so no tools are needed for assembly. The only two things that would be nicer would be if there was some felt on the racks, but that's easy enough to fix, also a simple page of assembly instructions. I figured it out easily enough, but I can see how it could be confusing.

It does hold swords
Bought this because I have enough swords that it merited a sword rack (I know that's an odd thing). The construction is ok, it's essentially held together by 1/2 dowels with screws into the ends of them, so keep that in mind when you are buying it.Mine is full and I have already moved it to different locations on different walls (while unloaded of all swords) and have had no problems with it.
