worked great at first, but failed after getting used for a while
**Started Strong, Ended in Disappointment**I was initially impressed with this heads-up display (HUD) when I first installed it in my car. Setup was straightforward, the display was crisp and easy to read, and it added a sleek, futuristic touch to my dashboard. For the first few weeks, everything worked flawlessly—it projected speed clearly, and made driving feel safer and more high-tech.Unfortunately, that honeymoon period didn’t last. After a few months, the display started glitching—flickering, freezing, and occasionally shutting off mid-drive. I tried checking all the connections, but the issues only got worse. Now, it won’t even power on. It’s essentially a very expensive paperweight sitting on my dash. For a product that showed so much promise, the lack of durability and reliability is a major letdown. I can’t recommend this HUD unless the manufacturer seriously improves quality control and support.

Pretty good but room for improvement
Very clear and easy to see even in the sun. It's only as accurate as your car's ECU is reporting but offers settings to offset the value- out of the box, mine was right in line with the speedo. There's also the GPS mode but that's unlikely to agree with the speedo (GPS is actually more accurate). The USB cable that plugs into the ODB port is plenty long and the grippy dashboard pad does its job (and isn't actually adhesive, which is nice for repositioning the unit). There are a good amount of settings to play with. One I'd like to see is to use Throttle Position or electric motor power output instead of RPM, because I have a plug-in hybrid and the gas engine isn't always on.My major gripe about this product is actually something I'm surprised other reviewers aren't mentioning. There's no cowl facing the front of the vehicle so everyone, including the popo, can see your speed lit up like a christmas tree on your dashboard. In vehicles with factory HUDs, the display is recessed into the dashboard to prevent this but obviously that can't happen here. I made my own cowl with black electrical tape and there seems to be no issue, though I may 3D print a better solution because I'm sure it won't last.I also had the issue with the unit causing DTCs. I'm not sure what triggered it, but I plugged it in and the unit showed only the voltage. Then I turned the car on and got tons of errors popping up on the car's screen. Cleared them with another ODB scanner and they haven't gone back- I'm sure it messed with the CAN bus somehow and confused a bunch of modules, but that's a risk with anything ODB. I'm hoping it was a fluke and with regular use I won't see that again.

Good HUD for the price. Not usable for any sort of racing if that's what you're looking for.
Decent little HUD, innit.TL;DR because I'm nice.--Total: 3.14159/5 stars.Brightness: 5/5.Setup: 3/5Quality: 3.625 because at least it doesn't reflect the sun directly into your eye holes.Accuracy: 2 - because that's how many seconds it will take you to over-rev and throw a connecting rod into the next presidential election if you try to use this like a shift light. You'll be lucky if you don't blow the welds on the intake.--Comes with a very thick "no slip" rubber pad which is more than enough for the light weight. Auto brightness settings are very responsive to ambient light and the display is bright enough to go bare-glass no reflector, if you don't mind the double reflection (or entendre). The HUD has a nice matte display surface that doesn't reflect too much sun, and a built in backing to prevent the display from shining directly into your eyes at night. Unfortunately the backstop for the display means it cannot be tilted very far forward toward the windshield before it cuts off the top of the numbers. Won't matter for every car/dash but I couldn't put it anywhere behind my steering wheel. Wasn't very happy with the reflective film since it was pretty thick and difficult to see through, but it works... Just don't put it dead center in your line of sight.Setup and controls are my least favorite part of this HUD, since you have to manually reference abstract list of numbers to features/settings. Don't lose your list! Large number of settings and adjustments you can make, which is nice and I very much appreciate. Kind of finicky though, I wish they had used different buttons to control it.I have some experience with tools and cars, and it took me about 30 minutes to install the first time. It only took 30 seconds of driving for me to not like where I put it...and 3 more tries to get it positioned where I actually wanted it (lower left, a few inches from the windshield edges as viewed from the driver seat). Make sure to drive around with it BEFORE you stick the reflector to the windshield. With some tweaking I was able to get it to match my speedometer really well. The ribbon cable to ODB2 was plenty long, and thin enough to tuck into tight places if you're installing permanently. No issues or failures with any of the hardware.I don't know if it's my car or the display ( I have my suspicions ) but this HUD is far better for highway driving than city. It seems like the screen takes about 1 second to update every time and it's laggy on top of that. Don't expect to use this for anything more than monitoring your speed out of the corner of your eye since it's not quick enough to time your shift points or 0-60s.Would recommend to my friends unless they live in California, where it is known to cause cancer.Probably won't buy it again.

5+ years, going strong
Been 5 years since I have had this in my truck, still no issues at all, great cheap HUD option, tucked wires nicely, can unplug easily for smog checks or checking codes, display is nice, the only thing that stopped working was the RPM bar at the bottom, which was kind of annoying to have in the first place, so it broke to my liking, displays proper speed, proper battery voltage. Love it still!
