Cordless Leaf Blower

I'm not a contractor. I'm not a landscaper. I'm just a homeowner who has a patio, deck and driveway that get covered with leaves during the fall months. Our gardeners use a much larger and much more powerful blower, but they're blowing leaves out from our planter beds and under shrubbery. I just need something that blows leaves off solid surfaces like driveways and decking. In fact, it probably just takes practice, but our gardener let me try using his one day, and his blower was so strong that I ended up scattering leaves all over the place. This blower is powerful enough to move leaves and small twigs while still giving me control enough to corral them into my large debris dust bin. I bought an older version of this same blower several years ago for another home and there are several differences - - - improvements, in my opinion: - the battery that came with the previous one does not have a power level indicator, nor does it plug in directly to charge as these do. The other battery has a separate charger base that you slide the battery onto for charging (much like Makita battery chargers). This new version plugs the charging cable directly into the battery itself, and the indicator lights that show that charging is complete are on the charging brick itself - - - space saving and efficient! The battery lasts several full sessions, and the on-battery charge indicator is also super handy and very accurate. - My previous blower has just one speed and you control the strength with the trigger. For example, fully press the trigger for full strength when sweeping across large areas, then just partially depress it for a gentler strength when guiding the leaves into the debris dust bin. This is very easy to do, but the newer model is even easier. This newer model has a separate speed dial on the side of the blower. Depress the trigger fully no matter what speed you prefer and use the lever to adjust the strength. It's a separate step which gives you the same variation of speeds and allows you to just keep the trigger depressed fully even when using a low setting. Attachments simply twist on and off. There are notches on the male end, and 2 nubs on the female end. Line up the nubs with the notches, insert then twist. Easy on and off. All attachments are plastic, so there's no worry about corrosion or rust. Lastly, this thing weighs next to nothing. I'm a 5'4", 135lb woman in my mid 60's and I can walk around using it with one hand very easily. It's lightweight enough so I can hold it in one hand and maneuver the debris bin in the other . . . no problem. I had initially been looking at Makita blowers mainly because all our other tools are Makita and we already have multiple Makita batteries. I thought it would be simpler to just use the same batteries across all our tools. This blower uses it's own proprietary batteries but the batteries don't use a standalone separate charger (to store and take up space) and this comes with 2 batteries so it comes with its own spare. We bought it once and love it at our primary home. We liked it enough to buy it again and am even happier with this upgraded version for our second home too.

At first when this arrived, it came in a small box. The box was about the size of an "banker's box" of files. I was shocked that a leaf blower would fit in it.... then I opened the box, only to reveal an even smaller box... smaller than a shoebox. I thought it was impossible for the leaf blower I purchased to fit in it.... however, there it was. It is small, but obviously smaller when you remove the black hose like tube on the end. It came with two tubes, and two bags for "dust collection". I don't think I would ever use this device for a vacuum, but I kept the bags anyway. Some people received a carry bag, but I received two collection bags which would fit over the "exhaust" end, and almost use as a leaf blower in reverse. I intended on using this device around our in-ground pool to blow away the sand that the kids track in from the sandbox which was ingeniously located right next to the pool...... I found that it was the perfect size, as I didn't need to grab our large and loud back-pack leaf blower. I loved it, and the battery last for a long time! It seems pretty quick to charge, but I never really had to use it right away when it wasn't charged. As far as power, it is pretty powerful. It won't blow you away or anything, but it does take care of larger messes than I thought. I read through the instruction manual, and noticed that somewhere in there it mentions "Makita" which is a reputable tool company. I am not sure if this is made by that company, but I swear it said something about Makita products referring to this unit. I actually keep this in my car and found many uses for it. I have a multitude of blow up toys (for the kids)... I have a blow up pool, a giant 6 foot ball, some rafts, etc. The blower actually fits perfect in to the larger "Boston" valve on the bigger blow up items, and with some creative engineering, I can get it to blow up the smaller valves as well. I have even used it in my home to blow dust and pet hair off the floor and couch. Yeah it sounds crazy, but if you buy one, you will do it too! You can use it to clean off work spaces in the garage, or to blow out your car's interior, or the bed of the pickup truck, or under the bed liner. I get too much enjoyment from this little tool. :) It is so small, that on my birthday, we had family over, and of course they had gotten me a cake. I was by the pool, in my suit and wrapped in a towel, so after they sang the obligatory "Happy Birthday", I whipped this baby out from under my towel and blew out the candles with it. (You are probably thinking that I could be 600 pounds, so that is not impressive, but I am 5 ft 2 in, and 120 pounds). First impression: What the ?????.... Oh I am so returning this..... First Use: Wow, this is pretty cool... better than expected.. maybe I will keep it... Now : You'd better pry this from my cold dead fingers.....Can't live without it.

To be honest, I thought this was going to be a bigger unit - more like the standard cordless leaf blowers that are put out by some of the bigger landscape tool manufacturers. So I was a bit apprehensive that it would be powerful enough to blow my walkways and driveway. I was happy to discover that it does more than an adequate job on leaves, small tree debris and dirt that lands on the paved areas of my house on a daily basis. Because it's not as powerful as a full-sized blower, it makes it easier to control where you are steering the debris. Not so important in an open space, but inside the garage and on my enclosed rear porch, it makes it much easier to direct the dirt where you want it to go. The bigger units are less discriminate about where they blow things. I also found it to be perfect for our boat. We have a 20-ft. pontoon boat and it gets littered with all kinds of things falling from the trees. I used to lug the big blower out to the dock, with a long extension cord, and blow the boat clean. It was kind of a pain and the weight of the unit plus the drag of the extension cord becomes tiring rather quickly. With this unit, there's no extension cord and almost no weight, so it is a much better experience. It easily stows under one of the seats while we're riding and then I can just grab it and bring it into the garage when we're done with the boat ride. I have not tried this as a vacuum since my main interest was to have a lightweight but effective blower.

This KIMO 20 Volt lithium-ion cordless blower/vacuum (QM-6001) was delivered, and then immediately put to use. Three people tried it and were impressed with its power and effectiveness. It came already charged. The charging unit has a red light on when charging and a green light to signal a fully charged battery. After plugged into the charger, the battery has a sequence of lights (red, yellow, green, blue) which scan, flashing repeatedly in decreased colors until the blue light stops blinking. The red light on the charger then goes out, the green light comes on to indicates a charged battery, and you're ready to go!!! The nozzle has some flex to it, rather than being hard plastic. It locks into place easily after pushed on with a slight clockwise twist. The unit with nozzle and battery weighs a little less than 3 pounds. The button depresses easily, enabling the unit to run as long as the button remains depressed, with the air volume increasing to max when the button is fully depressed (so a variable speed). The blower/vac. turns off when the button is released. The unit isn’t too loud when running and doesn’t have an annoying high-pitched sound. It’s convenient for small clean-up jobs; particularly so if handled by smaller or less strong persons. It comes with its own storage bag and has 2 vacuum bags that can emptied and then re-used. I purchased this blower/vac. mainly to clear our porch of leaves and debris but will use it for our back patio and for car vacuuming also. The front porch of our new house is closed in on 2 sides, and then further back by the front door is closed in on 3 sides. Leaves, garden mulch, flower petals, grass clippings, dirt from homes being built around us, small rocks, and other things tend to blow into our porch and get trapped there. To keep the porch clean I'd found myself sweeping it daily, and on windy days more than once. We have a large, electrical blower which my husband uses during grass-cutting days and for his bigger jobs. That one has to be hooked up to a weighty extension cord to use, and anyway, that larger unit is too heavy and cumbersome for me to use regularly, or even occasionally. With this little KIMO blower/vac. I easily blow everything off of our porch, across the driveway, and into the garden bed. It’s lightweight, powerful for its size, and easy to use and store-----just grab and go!! This KIMO blower/vac meets my needs perfectly. I’m so happy that I saw it on Amazon and bought it! UPDATE 01/07/22 Still going strong! I use it every 10 or so days to blow leaves and other debris from the front porch, and to blow bits of debris out of our garage. After potting it comes in handy to blow away dropped soil. During this past summer I regularly used it on the back patio after grass cutting. During the past year this little tool has become my not-so-new best friend!! UPDATE 07/23/24 Still working great! Have been using KIMO blower 4 to 5 times per week for light debris on back patio, the front porch, and the nearby part of the connecting driveway. I often blow sides of entire driveway towards lawn and sometimes from street inward after we cut the grass and my husband edges. So handy to have for lightweight jobs. I might buy a back-up one just to have on hand.

I use this thing multiple times a day to blow off my porch and porch in backyard. You have to be very careful on the left side of it not to hair and or clothing near it it will suck it right up! It last about 5 minutes if im lucky. I have the one battery that came with it. The part of the plug that goes in the wall came apart yesterday. I had to toss it. Ive had this leaf blower and accessories since September of 2025. We are in April of 2026. I have never had a plug to an item ive owned come apart from where it plugs into the wall. Super dangerous. Anyway, I went to contact the company to get a replacement not only is her website not existent. The phone number is a busy tone every time I have called. How am I supposed to get a replacement plug? I knew in my gut I shouldn’t have bought this to begin with, but I needed something same-day and delivered within an hours at the time I purchased.

This KIMO cordless leaf blower is very easy to use and maneuver in small yards. Plus it's easy to control the air pressure, unlike the large leaf blowers with much higher blowing pressure, which most are hard to control without a variable blowing lever! For the price, you can't find a better value (and very portable) leaf blower that comes with a 1-yr. warranty! (I've owned one for 1.5 years, no problems.) The only drawback is not able to buy a backup lithium battery pack, even though it's rated for long life (?), since it's not sold here on Amazon or KIMO's own website. Updated (10/6/21): The Co. was offering a free lithium-ion battery for "randomly selected lucky customers." It was contingent upon "Share Your Experience" and to "Rate Our Product on Amazon", which I did so by providing date (8/19/21) of this Amazon review. Still, the Co.'s customer service (Laura) requested a copy of link to this review so, once confirmed, "we will arrange the gift for you." Again, I compiled (on 8/23/21). Yet, since no response, I then emailed twice (9/17/21 and 9/28/21), each time asking nicely for the current status, but no response to both follow-up requests. Oh well, I guess I was one of the "unlucky" ones! (Note: This update is merely to reflect the poor customer support, not the product itself, thus the downgrade to 3 stars from original 4 stars.) Also, as other reviewers indicated, the 20V 2.0 Ah batter last less than 20-25 minutes of continuous use. The larger 4.0 Ah batter (on a bigger KiMO blower) would last longer but would be heavier, perhaps defeating purpose of its light weightiness and maneuverability. Plus, the vacuum portion doesn't work as well as the blower section but I used it mainly for the the blower.

So, I got this little blower/vacuum specifically because it was cordless AND it could vacuum as well as blow. I got tired of having to ask my husband to get out the big electric blower and the long extension cord just to blow the debris off the deck and deck furniture every time we wanted to sit outside. The BIG bonus came when I saw how small and lightweight it really is and how much actual blowing power it had. I don't think it would blow a huge pile of heavy, wet leaves off a driveway, but for the everyday annoying mess that our palm trees drop, plus birdseed drifting in from who knows where, and dog hair and so on, this thing is crazy amazing. On the vacuum side, I haven't been able to try it because I am having a hard time trying to attach the bag. It looks like it would go right on the same way as the blowing nozzle, but I can't seem to get it to scoot on easily. Granted I handle my stuff rather gently so maybe I need to give it a little more force. It's going to be a little weird anyway because the motor doesn't reverse the air flow. Instead you have to put the blower nozzle on the air inlet and the bag on the outflow. So I anticipate it's going to be a little awkward to hold at that point, but hey, it'll still be handier than running to get the vacuum. On the price, yes, I thought it was a little pricey but I'm glad I went for it anyway because this really is incredibly handy and so easy to grab and use. And since my house is very, very small, storage is very limited. The big behemoth my husband uses is way out in the shed with the lawnmower, etc. My little blower is right here handy by the deck. Anyway, hope this helps somebody make the leap even though it's not exactly cheap. It's WAY more powerful than I thought possible considering it's cordless. I really do love this thing. And now I can sit outside without becoming covered in palm tree debris, birdseed hulls, etc. Who knew, right?

Wow. This is impressive and really small and light! I just got it and appreciated that it was fully charged and ready to test. It blows dirt and leaves very well for a smaller clean-up, and it blew out water impressively from a corner where it pools. By smaller clean-up, I mean if you have a thick layer of leaves caked down with water or dried mud, it isn't the answer. But it makes quick work of leaves and sticks and [pooled water and dry dirt. I also have a corded monster blower which I hate taking out because I have to walk down two flights of stairs and go into the dirty storage area and I hate the weight of it after the first half hour, so much so that I bought a shoulder strap for it, I hate the long cord that drags behind it and I hate rolling the long cord back up onto the little doughnut. However, I have a large yard and a lot of trees and this blows like a monsoon. So the Kimo is not that. But I don't want to go through all of the above to blow the leaves off my deck each day, because in autumn it's a mess every single day, as is the driveway. This is small enough to store in a closet in the house and powerful enough for the smaller jobs. It's just what I was looking for. It's perfect. I read some reviews that said the blower tube didn't stay on the blower. Not so. You have to push the tube down all the way and twist it. There are pegs on the side of the tube that fit in a track. No way is that coming off.

The leaf blower is very small, quite weak and tube is not long enough - you'll not be able to work in the garden with this device. It may work for a car, but not for a garden.
