This is the BEST messed up love story I have ever read in my life!!! Ever!!! This was my first time reading anything by this author so I have no idea if the story is related in any way to her other ones. It was so full of twists and turns, I literally held my breath a few times and could not believe what I was reading.The love between Lachlan and Valencia is something like a super twisted Romeo and Juliet type of story that you just can’t get enough of. And, in this case, our Juliet/ Valencia has no idea about the “family feud”. She is a completely innocent pawn caught in Lachlan’s web only because of who she is. However, he does feel something for her in spite of himself and has to force himself to choose between her and revenge. And just when he finally thought he won, life laughs in his face and shows him how it’s done.I seriously loved every moment of this book, even the parts that were beyond comprehension messed up. The entire story is beautifully written, I was so caught up in it that I didn’t want it to end. And speaking of that, the ending was so good. It made my heart hurt, and it also made me smile.

The good: Overall plot is good. It's a gruesome tale but I liked that.The bad: significant amounts of typos and text errors were frustrating. The ending is rushed and another couple of chapters would have gone a long way towards improving that. So much time is spent on 8 months prior that we don't learn enough about Valencia's state of mind at the end.Readers should be aware that the story has some very difficult to read scenes of children being harmed.Overall 3/5 I think the author gave this a HEA because it's what she thought people would want, I was extremely disappointed in that. It wasn't believable.

Another gripping book by V.F. Mason. If you like dark romance you will love this one. A monster was created through no will of his own. Now someone has to pay the price and suffer the pain, and torment that lives with Lachlan. A beautiful ballerina, Valencia, who only wants to dance, is brought into Lachlan's world. Lachlan is so tortured, as I read I was on edge the entire time waiting and waiting for him to strike out at her. I loved this story. V. F. Mason is unparalleled in her writing!

OMG! I love the story from beginning to end. It's incredibly exciting, full of suspense, twists you didn't see coming, and a lot of passion. It is a very hard story, but love conquers everything...Ame la historia de principio a fin, es increíblemente excitante, llena de suspenso y giros que no veías venir, es una historia bastante dura, creo que com ninguna historia me había dado tanto coraje, pero al final la satisfacción de venganza. Estoy muy impresionada con la historia, cuando creía saber que iba a pasar, pasaba otra cosa, me encantó. Y me esta encantando esta autora.

I've read other books by this author and reading out of sequence was fine as they all have their own agenda, but now going back to the beginning with lachlan its put the others in place and made for an entertaining read. The theme for these books is brutal and really hurts your soul what they suffered but to see them conquer the evil and rise to a higher dark plain makes you not want to put the book don't until the last word is uttered. Great read.

I've read a number of this authors books and there's definitely a formula. Deeply disturbing backstories, serial killer lures a woman into his sick web and even though he fights it, he falls for his victim.This wasn't my favorite in the Mason stable but like the others very well written. The twists are brilliant and chemistry off the charts.

I love these books by VF Mason, it’s a new addiction 😈Lachlan has a disturbed and horrific past (as expected with Masons Anti heroes), V is his saviour but he fights it. She lived in a bubble all her life and L showed her life’s brutality and who in her world was the cause for his.

Weird for me...not sure if it has a happy ending ? How can she love him ?
