extremely loud, audioplile quality sound
i bought this to pair up with the kicker DX 500.1 (500W@2ohms) that i just got to replace a cheap roadgear amp and radioshack optimus pro series sub speaker. that amp sounded good with the old speaker. this new one sounds GREAT! I don't like boomy bass, i like very sharp, chest thumping bass. I have it installed in a 1.25cu ft well sealed enclosure stuffed with a big bag of polyfill. i set the gain control with a voltmeter, and have amp's the remote volume control all the way up with the bass boot all the way up too. i've had friends with plenty of other setups, some professionally tuned, but none of them ever sounded as good, it enhances the premium factory alpine sound system in my '13 dodge charger (which sounded great, and had awesome bass for a factory system to begin with) without muddying it at all. if i put the seat down, the bass is way too loud...it shakes my rearview and sideview mirrors. the price on amazon was also 1/3 that of the local blue and yellow brick and mortar store. I went on the heavy side of wiring for this speaker (4ga power to amp, 8ga to speaker with 12 gauge solid core to bridge the two coils in parallel to get a 2ohm impedance). with the sensitivity rating on this speaker, and power handling in the realm of practicality, and the quality of sound it puts out, i would be hard pressed to put anything else in my car.

Sounded great for a week...then it blew.
I bought this product from discount jungle which I found out the hard way is not an authorized pioneer dealer, thus Pioneer's 1 year warranty is invalid. The sub was brand new and sounded great, and I had it paired with the champion series amp by Pioneer, and it still blew after 1 week. No way I could get it replaced, fixed, returned, etc. Should have just given the money I used for this sub to charity or something. I am definitely never buying a pioneer subwoofer ever again.

really decent for the price!
I bought this about 2 weeks ago and received it in great condition, which was one of my main fears of ordering online. I got it installed a few days ago and let me tell you this thing hits hard! I listen to a lot of dubstep, liquid drum & bass, and hip hop. It handles everything great. I have it hooked up to an older 750W Kicker and the bass is amazing. I highly recommend this product for the price and potential. The dude at best buy that installed it couldn't believe at how cheap I got it for...he told me it was like a 300 dollar sub. Great product and reliable shipper.

Amazing
I have 2 of these running off an 1800 watts power acoustic BAMF and it is amazing. when i crank it up all the way, you literally can't see out of any of the mirrors on the car cause they are shaking. i've pushed these speakers as hard as this amp can push them and no problems. i've cross compared them to an alpine R rated at 600 rms and couldn't really tell the difference with just one playing. and these guys are like 1/4 the price. i paid 75 for mine and thought they were a steal. This is my 3rd and 4th pioneer sub, pioneer for life.

great sub for the money
For the money this subwoofer sounds great!Pros: cheap, sounds greatCons: since it was 50 $ its obvious it will not be wining any competitions.I have my sub in a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure. Im running it at 2ohms 600watts rms. I tuned my amp using a digital multimeter to avoid clipping. If you don't know what clipping is I recommend you read about it since It can destroy your equipment. This is the link I used to tune my amp with a dmm. Note: you will need a 50-60hz test tone which can be found online. [...][...]

Pounds but way over-rated (watts
At first I was very happy with the purchase! had it hooked up to a hifonics monobloack amp. Had it wired 2 ohms at 1000watts. Was pounding hard but, I pushed it too hard and blew it two days in. Not even gonna bother with returning it. Not even worth it! I would bet its max output is actually half of what is advertised. It pounds good but, the clarity and quality of the sound is horrible. Instead I bought a used audiobahn that is 6+ years old and it sounds way better.

Didn't last long.
Bought this speaker about 2 months ago and it worked great for about a month then it just blew. I had it hooked up to a 600 watt fosgate which is less than half the power it can handle peak and I didnt even use it enough to get it past the break in period. Not a complete waste of money tho it did work good for time I used it.

All I can say is wow.
I needed something to give me a little more bump in the trunk so I decided to come on Amazon to see what I could get for less than $50 that would help me fulfill my goal. That is when I came across a smoking deal on one of these Pioneer TS-W309D4 sub woofers (for less than $40 even). I've had Pioneer subs in the past and had pretty good luck with them, so I didn't think twice before I jumped on this one. After I ordered I found out that this isn't your cheapy Wally world cheapy Pioneer sub, this is actually the middle of the road that usually retails for twice the price of those. I could barely contain my excitement waiting for UPS to bring it to my door. I have it in an Atrend E12S B-Box sealed enclosure, filled with poly fill, and for an amp I am running Boss Audio R1100M Amp running 2-ohms and I just can't get over how amazing it sounds, more than I ever expected from a cheap Sub/Box/Amp. If I could give more stars I would.
