An owl or tree gall? Now I know!
I wanted a dedicated red light for night animal spotting. I am very happy with how bright this is and that it’s easy on/off so I’m not fumbling with getting to the setting I wanted.

I am happy with this purchase as the light is bright and in the right bandwidth and the handle is a good size for holding while not too large. Not a “5” as the optics for the light are such that the light isn’t as “sharp” as it could be, but very acceptable and I am pleased gor the price. Good value.

Pretty close to 670nm, much brighter than necessary for LLLT for eyes
I used a spectrometer in our shop to check the 2 units I got. Both have a peak wavelength of 668-669nm with a central wavelength closer to 665nm. That should be good for LLLT at 670nm. In the chart, the green line is 670nm. I was also able to measure the output power at about 200mW. You can use that and the fraction of the output that's actually entering your eye to calculate the dosage. I hold it at arms length set for the largest spot and keep my eye's closed and it's bright but not uncomfortable. The higher power is good for deep tissue LLLT. I'm using them at full power on a trick knee. Too early to say whether it's helping though.

Decent product for the price. Not the brightest or longest reaching beam of light but will get you through in a pinch. I attached it to my shotgun for a gun light and use my foxpro light as a scan light. This light will do the job.

Deceptive Add
The add shows both battery types and clearly says the AAA'S are not included. However it doesn't say so on the rechargeable. It does not include any batteries and is over priced with this being the case. It does say batteries not included below in the other details. My complaint is it should have shown not included above just like it did for the AAA. I would have chosen a different seller! Will never buy from this one again.
