The Complete Crumb Comics Vol. 6: On the Crest of a Wave Paperback – November 2, 2013

I'm a baby boomer and I remember reading these in college--well pretty close. I do remember putting Zaps and other Undergrounds in a storage box that my cat decided to use as a cat box. So I don't have any rare first editions :)I think what made Crumb stand out for me was while the Furry Freak Bros ( for instance) were kind of off the wall situation comedies Crumb was always working a nutso interior dialog not too far off reality. See how his newer stuff reflects settling down and having a wife and kids--but still with that wry sensibility.These books are well produced and are certainly good enough to appall the up tight. And even though I don't have a cat anymore I've learned not to leave paper on the floor.

This volume is the best one! With all the strips I remember from my youth. Robert is a pure Genius and this is what I grew up to. Wow no wonder I like thick Women with strong legs! To think my best friend died and I have no idea what he did with these comic books. I hope someone took care of them and is reading them now!the books are just as good as the old comic books...hey even better they are bigger!

Great format to collect and enjoy Crumb art. Very nice book. Worth the money

Happy no complaints

Maybe in his day he was good, but compared to other comics he is fail. Just not funny. Zippy the pinhead is a far better read.

I thought I was a fan, but too much Crumb is not as good as once in awhile.
