I previously stated it was nickle-plated steel but I mistakenly was writing about another nickle strip I had. This one is pure nickle.

seen a few bad reviews but i tested it for myself.. no sparks w dremel tool test and no rust when sanded and soaked in saltwater for 24 hrs... .. unlike a few plated ones that totally went brown.thanks for a good product

Looks great, and yes, I should have known the dimensions of it as they were in the item description, but if I hadn’t looked at my recent orders tab and realized it was shipped with something else, it would have been picked up by the recycling tomorrow! When I saw that it was delivered, I raced outside to check the boxes and discovered it was under the bottom flap of the box it was shipped in. Don’t accidentally toss it!

Not much to say about these as they are exactly as described. Item arrived on time as part of another shipment. Pleased with the product, would purchase from this seller again.

I can confirm these (at least the ones delivered to me) are indeed basically pure nickle as advertised. Rather than for batteries, I used these for nickle plating, using them both as the electrodes and to create a nickle acetate solution, which has a very distinctive green color.Fake nickle strips are often just plated with nickle, and as soon as that dissolves would start dissolving the other metal (often steel or something) which would lead other funky colors, corrosion and muddiness. No such issues here, just the beautiful green of a high purity nickle acetate when I dissolved them.There was a little "skeleton" of non-nickle debris as they dissolved, but it was so little that it would easily fit with the 0.4% that one should expect when 99.6% purity is advertised.

I would have to say this is real nickel as I've tried so many different kinds and tested them all and this is the only one that does not rust nor spark when I grind it. What I've found best to do is lay some of the roll on a 2by4 then then with my dremel , grind in little slots then cut to length so when you spot weld or solder it works much better so solder will fill in slot and hold much better and when you spot weld put a probe on either side of slot and away ya go.

After seeing all the negative reviews all over Amazon, on items that claimed to be pure nickel that later turned out to be nickel plated steel, I'm happy to report that this one is genuine pure nickel.Did the salt water test for 24 hours. The one on the left is the nickel. Right side is a test peice cut off an old battery (plated steel)Another thing to note... Though nickel is not a ferrous metal, is is however ferro-magnetic. Meaning that it will be attracted to a magnet. Some reviews I saw claimed strips were not pure nickel as they would stick to a magnet therefore must have steel in them. Generally true for other metals that aren't ferrous. Like aluminum or copper. But because nickel is ferro-magnetic, magnets will still stuck to it.Cheers

This was far from "pure" nickel.The attached photo will show the impurities (black) in approximately 3 feet of the nickel roll.
