Avenger E390 Yoke to Stand Adapter TVMP,Silver

If you're looking for a TVMP spud to, say, convert a theatrical light to a baby-sized cinema stand or get any sort of gear on a 5/8 baby mount - skip the Matthews spud and pick this one up - for the simple reason that the Avenger has a big, fat robust handle you can tighten or release without tools... the Matthews has a stubby little thumbscrew that really requires pliers or a wrench. Maybe that's preferred for a permanent install, but cinema and photo gear is generally intended to be moved around. In almost every situation, the Avenger version of a Matthews product is just a bit more "evolved"... more ergonomic handles, better design in subtle ways. And this TVMP is a great example of that. It'll last longer than your lights.

I bought a $100 1K fresnel and the yoke mount was terrible. The mounting screw protruded down into the mounting point so the light would always wobble. This upgrade took a few minutes of drilling to open up the hole but was well worth it!

These are well made stand adapters. Easily takes your studio lights and makes it so you can put them on stands.Keep in mind you will need robust stands to handle the weight of most studio lights. I use the Cowboystudio 9 foot and 12 foot Heavy duty Cushioned Premium Light Stands (available on Amazon) for my Polaris Fresnels and my large scoops.

Strong and reliable

I use these to convert stage lights like fresnels and ellipsoidals to fit on film and video lighting stands. They are simple to use and hold up well. They seem small, but so far they get the job done.

What more could you ask for? When you need help and gear to make things right, that's all you want.
