You need this book!
If you have ever felt defeated, this is a book for you. Jennifer has put her finger on the problem of listening to that whispered voice inside our minds that tells us we are “stupid,” “not enough,” “worthless,” and I could go on. When we listen, repeat, and allow our spirits to agree with those words, we become defeated. This scripturally based book cleverly uses the concept of a closet for our thoughts. Every closet needs cleaning out occasionally and Jennifer shows us how to clean out our thought closets to allow some new thoughts to enter…the thoughts God has toward us. The subject matter is very biblical in its approach and is not a self-help book but a “God help us” book! You will be very glad you purchased Me, Myself, and Lies and will soon be recommending it to others.

For Such a Time as This
I may not be the negotiator from which God delivers a people, as was Esther, but I believe Jennifer Rothschild's book, Me, Myself & Lies, was put into place in my life "for such a time as this." For some time now, God, through His Spirit, as well as through sermons, and individuals, has shown me that my self talk has caused me to fall prey to the enemy's lies and lead to times of despair and fear. Having recognized this, I was still not being as successful as I knew I should be in replacing negative self talk with positive thoughts and actions. This book has shown me that "Our thought closets can become arsenals stocked with the weapons of truth." (Chapter 5) I love that this book is saturated with Scripture, and that we get a personal look at Jennifer, and she becomes a trusted friend.

"Me, Myself, and Lies is a MUST READ!!
I loved “Me, Myself, and Lies” and felt it was very timely in my life. Jennifer Rothschild shares with the reader how to revamp our thought closets, replacing negative self-talk with purposeful soul-talk. Her nuggets of wisdom and God’s truths guide the reader with specific steps on how to rid our thought closet of further harmful negativity to our souls and begin catching them before they enter. We need to talk to ourselves in the same way Jesus does, with loving kindness, forgiveness, encouragement, biblical truths, and fortifying messages of soul-talk.I loved this book and I know the Lord led me to read it at exactly the right time. I don’t think there was one page that I didn’t highlight! It is full of wisdom, hope, practical tips, and applications that the reader can implement in their lives to start taking action today! It is essential that we stop the negative self-talk, it is so damaging and cumulative.Jennifer sprinkles the pages with humor, hope, insight, life examples, biblical verses and truths. I love that she shares a peek into not only her own thought closet but also some wonderful Christian authors, singers, and speakers; Laura Story, Lysa Terkeurst, Chonda Pierce, Kathy Trocolli, Margaret Feinberg, Meredith Andrews, Liz Curtis Higgs, Stormie O’Martian, and Lisa Whelchel’s. I loved getting a glimpse into their thought closets and the wisdom they shared. It made me realize that even the people that we think have it all figured out, can have the same struggles and deal with the same propensity with negative self-talk.These are a few of my many favorite quotes from “Me, Myself, and Lies”“Hope is a choice. It might have feelings that accompany it, but hope is not a feeling. It’s more. It’s certain. It’s a decision that allows us to be steady and sure. It anchors us to something greater than ourselves and has great influence over how you feel when things get difficult.” Jennifer Rothschild“When you are confronted with a circumstance that challenges you, you have two choices. You can say to your soul, Soul, you might as well get depressed, fall into despair, and lose heart. Or you can say to your soul, Soul, you might as well have hope, believe in something good happening, and place your expectation in the goodness of God.” Jennifer Rothschild“When we place our trust in Christ, when we have faith in Him, He gives us the gift of His Spirit to help us in this life. The Spirit fulfills several roles for us, and as we rely on Him rather than ourselves only, we are better equipped to speak healthy, truthful soul talk-and to keep the thought closet tidy!” Jennifer RothschildJennifer Rothschild writes from the heart and soul. Her words are faith-filled and inspirational. I am confident that the readers reading this book will walk away with a healthy, faith-filled perspective and be more mindful of what they are saying to and about themselves, as I am now. I love that Jennifer also wrote a version for teenagers, because they are inundated with false messages and perceptions.“Me, Myself, and Lies truly blessed me. I love Jennifer’s writing style, it was smooth flowing and filled with hope. She shares her own life stories in an authentic, relatable, and honest way. I will be rereading it and using the countless cornerstones, processes, and examples used in the book in my own life. I am going to purposefully revamp my thought closet, ridding it of offensive messages and fill it with soulful, purposeful, God given thoughts and truths. I am sure there is a learning curve but I am committing to it.I hope you consider buying a copy for yourself. I feel the message is so urgently needed because I think we all struggle with negative self-talk. I believe we could all use a little revamping in our present thought closets.

Amazing book
A good book that I enjoyed reading the Me Myself & Lies by Jennifer Rothschild It encouraged me to think about how I talk to myself. I will continue to be learning from what I have read for sometime and will be revisiting this book multiple times Jennifer has a strong faith and that does show in her writings . It has reminded me to be more mindful towards myself and others. However, we need to stop lying to ourselves will help us in how we deal with other people.

Watch what you believe
I've only started reading this book but I love it. We tell ourselves so many lies and believe them but God doesn't lie and we need to hear the truth. Stop lying and believe

I love how relatable she is
Jennifer's words will bring life to many women who have accepted lies as truth, and those lies have kept them trapped for way too long. I love how relatable she is, and how this transcends across culture. When we know the truth, we live the truth. That's beautiful!
