I just got it and it's perfect, exactly what I was looking for. It's very well made, I think it will hold up for a long time. It's very roomy and has lots of pockets, even a little zippered one on the inside, which I love for holding lipstick (keeps the lid on). The lining is kind of plasticy but that should mean it won't fray and come apart. The color (tan) is great and it has that lovely new leather smell. I would definitely buy again, you can't beat $30 for a real leather bag.Another bonus was super fast shipping, I got it 2 days after ordering!

I used to have a different brand of smaller black purse that was similar to this style, except that it was strictly a mini-backpack. I loved that purse but it was too small for my needs. I was looking for something larger. This was unique in that it could be a "backpack" purse or a shoulder tote. I thought that versatility was pretty cool. It was much bigger than I expected. It can fit all my junk (gum, mints, nail file, wallet, keys, work ID badge, small book, Kindle, plus misc stuff) and still have room to spare. I was really looking forward to this being my next favorite purse.HOWEVER- Mine came with a odd smell. At first, I thought it was just treated leather and that it would fade over time. It hasn't faded at all after a few days and it's not a "leather" smell. It's become quite chemical in nature. I thought I could just tough it out, but after spending a day with it at work in my desk drawer, I could still smell it and it was causing me to have a headache. I took it home and doused it in Febreeze, Arm and Hammer whatever else I could find that smelled better than that chemical odor. So far nothing has worked. I had to tie it up in a plastic bag because it seems to leave traces of odor on whatever it touches. I'm tempted to wash it (yes, it's leather and it's risky) to see if it helps, as I would hate to have just bought a nifty bag that I can't use because the smell makes me ill.

I thought I was repurchasing the same purse/backpack I had bought last year. However, though the design is the same - pockets, flaps, zippers and snaps all in the same place this is not the same quality! First, though it was advertised as genuine leather and came with a genuine leather charm that denotes "genuine leather" there is NO WAY that any part of this purse is leather. The smell is a dead giveaway - it has that very strong chemical smell of plastic and/or rubber and/or vinyl. And it looks and feels like vinyl as well. That in itself isn't the biggest disappointment though - the biggest problem with this bag is that the purse itself isn't very functional. It's made in such a way that what appears to be a decent size pocket right in the front, doesn't open wide enough to easily place items inside it or retrieve them. It opens just enough so that I can slip my fingers in, if I flatten them out - that's it. Total departure from the first purse I purchased which opened wide and was my spot to keep my keys, lipsticks and security badge. Also, the straps/handles are too short to allow you to easily access the main compartment of the bag. So, you actually have to unzip the strap, and set the bag down in order to open the main compartment completely. It's a poorly executed version of a good design. I'm tempted to exchange it to see if I get the real mccoy next time but I honestly don't want to give them another dime of my money.

This is a a wonderful small backpack. In its design and engineering,.most of the pockets are hidden against one's back while it is being used, so money and credit cards are hidden away There is one small pocket on the outside for quick access to a transit pass or library card.The big central pouch can carry a couple of 350-page books, if one is a paperback. An inconspicuous flat pouc with an almost invisible zipper fits against your back, out of plain sight and unreachable in a crowded bus or subway, where you would probably want to put credit cards and check book. The things you care most about cannot be reached easily in public spacesThe leather is soft and beautiful, and the whole bag is fairly small. The .backpack straps are thin and not padded; that was my major concern going forward -- that the straps would cut into my shoulders. They just don't ever cut my shoulders at all, and are very comfortable.

This bag was not stinky, or degraded, or anything else that I had read. It has survived Bike Week, plus daily riding and lugging around town for months as my daily use purse, which is more than other backpack purses I've owned have done. Straps are stitched on tight, but the zipper is starting to undo itself more often with wear and lots of use, but as a regular purse and backpack it is wonderful! The variety of pockets fit everything you need to carry, cell phone and wallet fit in pocket up against your back if used as a backpack, so much more security for important stuff. It has a large mouth to the main section so I can open it up and see what I need to dig out. Plus the zippers on the side are good for small trinkets. My friend suggested it would be a perfect baby bag as well. Overall for the price this has been an awesome buy, with better quality than expected! Will be buying again!

I love this purse! Both of my shoulders are bad and traditional over the shoulder bags hurt me and are super uncomfortable! So I was looking for something similar to my favorite purse but in a backpack style and I found this! I've been using it for over a year now and I love it! Very comfortable, lots of pockets and room! (My big wallet and two 3ds' and all of my lipgloss, eos chapsticks, and a pocket knife all fit in the main compartment with room to spare! And that's only the main compartment, there are like 5 other pockets on this guy too!) The only problem I have had is the very front pocket liner has ripped, but it kind of makes a nice secret compartment to hide things that you don't need access to all the time. Love this purse!
