STANLEY Folding Metric And SAE Hex Keys (2 Pack)

I’m tired of having to steal the husbands shop tools every time I want to repair or put something together. So, I got these. They work great. I have used on several projects around the house and they are holding strong without signs of wear or stripping.

This is a good way to have the allen wrenches handy and easily stored. Because they are connected to the base it adds extra strength as you were tightening the bolts. They fold up nicely and easy to store in my tool box. I am a woman so I am not very great with tools but this is a nice compact set to have as needed

I've had a lot of sets of more traditional, L-shaped allen wrenches over the years, and it seems like I have a preternatural ability to lose the small ones. Since usually you can't buy single sizes at all, or when you can, not cost-effectively, I've got a lot of allen sets missing the same 3 keys. Having them all attached on a much less easily lost folding block makes a lot of sense to me. The keys themselves seem to be pretty high quality metal, and they seem to put up with a lot of torque without bending. They were cheap enough that once I start snapping them off I'll probably buy another set. I'm mostly using them to make quick adjustments on my guitar saddles and on my bike, and they seem more than up for the task for either of those applications.

I bought this for my motorcycle which is mostly Allen bolts. It is convenient to always have every size in the same package, but there are definitely a lot of scenarios where regular Allen keys or sockets would be a better option. Since this is an all in one, it can be hard to remove bolts that are in tighter to reach spaces, the size doesn’t give you much room to turn which results in taking out the bolt 1/4 turn at a time. Another issue is removing bolts that are a little bit tighter. You can get good leverage to break the bolt free, but after on stubborn bolt that had resistance with every turn, the tool became floppy and loose, it can be tightened with ironically another hex key, but still annoying. Overall I’d say this is a good tool 80% of the time for the work I do.

These Stanley Allen wrench sets are handy and of very good quality. I cannot stand the allen wrench sets that are comprised of the individual loose wrenches, I am constantly losing one of them. These SAE and metric sets are great. Each one holds a wide variety of sizes, and they are all held together within the handle. Stanley's redesign of these sets is a great improvement over the earlier models which they used to manufacture. The handles on these newer ones are larger and mor comfortable in your hands, affording you more torque and a more enjoyable working experience. Allen wrenches are used for most all set screws and for assembling many products which require the purchaser to assemble the product, and also in many mechanical situations. This makes have a goo set indespensible, and you cannot go wrong with these Stanley sets to meet all of your allen wrench needs.

Nice solid product. Very compact, lightweight feels like a really good tool. Works great. Would definitely buy again and recommend to a friend.

Useful to have, and cheaper than some other comparable packages. They seem well built, but there isn't really much to go wrong with a set of hex keys. You can tighten the rotating mechanism; the SAE set has a metric adjustment screw, and the metric set has an SAE adjustment screw, which was good thinking! If you're looking to build your own basic set of tools (as I was) there are some homeowner's kits here that appear to be more cost effective than building your own set, and also come with a tool box/organizer. I wish I had known about those before I started buying various single tools.

I was afraid these hex keys would be too bulky because of the set all attached together but so far I have not had any issues. In fact, I really like how you can pry one hex key out and the rest of the tool becomes a "handle". It really provides great leverage and torque to help you turn the key, much better than a bare key that could dig into your palms. find this set no more bulkier than a screw driver handle. You can even pry an individual key straight out and use the set in screw driver style if you turn slowly.

Boys and girls, this is just a good product. This is the step right before a nice expensive metal hex key set. You know, the one you’d lose right after you use it for the first time. Not much to say, but it’s a good day.

Not much to say other than these tools are great. Never loose a hex key again. The handles make quick work of fastening and unfastening and the grips a good.
