Building the Nutshell Pram

This little procedure book, with every step illustrated by a photo or drawing, is informative and useful, even if you plan to build a different pram of other small lapstrake craft. For building the Nutshell specifically, I wouldn't undertake the project without it. Just be aware that the book is a companion to the plans, which are pricey. This book may help you decide between the Nutshell and other prams, such as the Humble Bee or Mouse.

This may be a step by step instruction on how to build this boat but you will need to purchase a set of plans or a kit to actually build one. Wish the description of this book had pointed that out before I purchased it.I found little in it I could use without the plans.

This little book is a very detailed/well balanced piece of resource that should be a welcome addition to any builder that is building a Nutshell Pram! The book has detailed pictures that explain all the steps that you will use in constructing your pram. The book does however refer to the blue prints at times, and it will still be necessary to buy the blueprints separately! The prints are of necessity, and they are the first step. This book just goes into detail on how to perform the necessary steps.Over all... great little book!
