It's A Beast!!!
This dehumidifier is a beast. What I love most is the continuous run pump feature. But a drop off water in the collection tank. It get pumped right out. We use this in our gym fitness center. We have a hot tub in a connecting covered porch and the tub adds 40% more humidity to the gym in a matter of minutes. This De'Longhi is sleek, powerful, and efficient. Best purchase ever.

Not as good as older models
I had an older model delonghi same pint capacity. But the older one did a better job, if I had gotten a bigger capacity one, maybe it would feel the same.... but this one doesn't do the same or better. It seems to run way more than the old one did.

Poor quality
Quit working after 1 month. Difficult to get it replaced.

Arrived DOA - DeLonghi told me to go pound salt.
I bought one of these as a spare when Home Depot ran a special purchase, thinking I would have it as a spare if any of mine died in the meanwhile. Well one did (die, as they often do) so I unboxed the unit while congratulating myself on having had the foresight to buy a spare at a great price. As it turns out, it wasn't such a great decision. The unit was DOA. I called DeLonghi and they wouldn't do anything because it had already been a year since I bought it. The CSR then tried to suggest I run it in a shower to make sure that there was enough humidity in the air to get it started. I'M NOT KIDDING - What a great idea - to run a plugged in electrical device in a shower. JEEZ. AVOID these folks, they really have NO CLUE.

Pump stopped working after less than a year
The unit is located in the basement of my home. The pump stopped working after less than a year. Because it's in the basement and we work all day, it's impossible to empty the unit every time the bucket is full, so the pump is essential. Absolutely zero support to correct the issue. Our recommendation: DO NOT PURCHASE!

Unreliable
Had read the reviews before and seen that a lot of units didn't work well but didn't want to believe it...Well it's happened to me too!Stop working completely after a few weeks for no reason.Called the Amazon support which sent me back to Delonghi, which were friendly but not efficient, they put me through the process of sending me a replacement unit. But unfortunatly it's been more a 2 months now, and no news... I followed up and Delonghi is now telling me that another department will send me instruction through email and send me a new unit, but nothing is happening. So, bottom line, bad product, warranty ultra slow on replacement, would not recommend it.

bruyant
Malheureusement l'appareil n'est pas très silencieux. Ça devient m^me agaçant. Portant il est dans notre sous-sol et nous avons l'impression que c'est la sécheuse qui fonctionne sans arrêt. Je crois que nous allons le retourner

Performance, features, and Aesthetic!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It’s an attractive unit, has all the features you’d expect, and also has an *active pump* which provides a lot of placement flexibility. Most dehumidifiers don’t have this key feature. This and it’s aesthetics, are what separate this dehumidifiers from the rest, and make it a worthy consideration.Dehumidifiers aren’t fancy but they’re practical, bit noisy, and often a necessity. If you need one, then you know that you’re going to have to empty it on a regular basis, otherwise it will auto shut off. This is typically a chore, and involves removing and dumping a large water container. This, is a real chore. Alternatively, you have to set it up close to a drain, but that limits your placement options. However, this unit has a third option. It has an active pump which can pump water up to 16’ (feet) high, which really creates a lot of flexibility when it comes to placement. You can have it pump the water to a drain, up through a windows, etc. lot of options that you don’t have with units that are only offer gravity fed draining. This, is a key differentiator. Now, with respect to reliability, I’ve had the unit running this fall, and have had no issues with it. It’s much more aesthetically pleasing than the unit it replaces, and the active pump option has really helped. I how have it placed more centrally in my basement (century home) and have it draining out a basement window into a flower bed which has worked out perfectly. It’s kept he basement humidity in check, and is much more attractive than the unit it replaced.I can’t speak to reliability, as I’ve only had it running for a couple of weeks. Dehumidifiers have a hard job but so far I’m really happy with this one – performance, aesthetics, and the active pump – couldn’t ask for more.I’ll update my review (Nov 2019) if I have any reliability issues. So far, really happy with this unit, and is the best dehumidifier I’ve owned to date (third).

Works well but the price....
This dehumidifier is no fuss, no muss. While I am non technical and this will be a non technical review, I am thrilled to discover that the pump with the machine is very easy to use. You just use the hose and basically bring the machine next to a spot where you can evacuate the water (floor drain, sink). This is a nice touch as it beats having to remove the pump, empty it and then put it back in the machine. This machine looks very slick and has some weight to it, which I think will make it sturdy enough to handle moving around, being jostled and just normal day usage. The machine has two fan settings. Both are somewhat noisy (although one more than the other) so you need to really think about where this should go.We have it in our bedroom which is about 300 sq f and it does a good job of keeping the humidity/temps well balanced in the room.Overall, this is a nice machine, but the price is crazy. You can get less expensive models that will do the same quality work.

Fantastic Dehumidifier from De'Longhi
This dehumidifier from De'Longhi (De'Longhi 50 Pint Dehumidifier with Built in Pump 24-Hour On/Off Timer, Energy Star 2.0) is a really good, reliable addition to your home. There are many standout features on this - one of the most important is its size, which, at 50 pint capacity, is much better than the standard market 40 (although that is available also). It therefore can run unattended longer. The other important factor is that this dehumidifier has its own built-in pump. The design of the unit is sleek and modern, and will fit with any home decor. This dehumidifier works very well to create a comfortable, balanced environment.
