Well it worked for me. Restored a DVD based Satnav system on an old Mini to working condition. A bit strange to use and plays music but putting that aside it seems to work well. I used the fluid but would recomend wiping the excess off before inserting the disc. Overall I would recomend 👍

Bought this because my CD was popping and stalling, and I hadn't cleaned the lens for ages - CD player was unusable. Instructions were simple enough: you have to put the disc in the drive and then hear the on-disc instructions. Can be difficult if the lens is as mucky as mine was, but persevere! Use a pin to piece the bottle: put a drop on each of the brushes then insert the disc. Track 1 will say 'go to track # for more instructions for your language (track 2 for English). It only takes about 1 minute. The first run of disc cleaning showed some improvement but was still not too good. I removed the disc, put on some more drops of fluid and tried again. It worked again, was better but still not brilliant. Simply (especially if your lens is as messy as mine was) it takes time! I ran the disc, with more fluid each time, for about 10 runs, and now my CD works fine! Much cheaper than having it repaired or replaced! The moral is, don't expect miracles on the first usage, be prepared to use the disc several times, and don't let your lens get filthy! I will now use the disc to clean all my CD drives every few months. Conclusion? I recommend it. It is cheap and works. PS my player is a BOSE Wave with 'post box' slot - the disc pops in okay and out too, but can be fiddly to insert or eject, but again, don't give up , just follow your machines guide how to shift stuck discs.

Unfortunately didn't fix cd skipping problem.

Worked a treat! Used it once and my in-car CD stopped skipping. Plays smoothly again — very happy!

EDIT Whilst the first CD played properly, the player spat out the second one repeatedly. I am now running the cleaning CD for a second time! Delighted with this product which has restored my 25 year old mini CD system to use. The instruction leaflet was vague, to say the least. Unlike a previous reviewer who found the bottle of fluid needed to be pierced, mine was ready to go, and I put a couple of drops on the brushes. The biggest issue was trying to get the player to recognise the CD. It spat it out about 10 times before it finally recognised it, and the display showed 14 tracks. I pressed Play and off it went. I expected silence but what you actually get is 14 short tracks of muzak, interspersed with instructions in various languages. At the end of the 14 tracks, I removed the CD and inserted one from my collection and - hurrah! - the player recognised it and it is playing as we speak! So happy because I thought my system was destined for the tip. I’ve knocked one star off just because the instructions were so poor, but I’d recommend people to give it a go before discarding a previous CD player.

Used it 8 times in my BOSE CD player which clearly needed a bit of TLC as all the CDs were jumping and not playing properly. It eventually cleaned the laser heads perfectly. This fixed the issues so bought a few CDs to blast out when next door is out.

On the underside of the cleaning disc are two brushes, designed to clean the CD player head. The issue is that the brushes are both in the same position - about halfway between the centre hole and edge of the disc, meaning the CD player head never comes into contact with them. All the brushes do is wipe the bottom of the tray that the CD sits in. Avoid this and don't waste your money.

Il mio riproduttore CD del 1997 cominciava ad avere problemi a riprodurre alcuni dischi (soprattutto quelli nuovi) e ho deciso di comprare questo pulitore per lenti per vedere di risolvere in maniera economica. Devo dire che dopo il primo e difficoltoso (perché saltava di continuo anche il disco di pulizia!) utilizzo ed usandolo più volte anche con il detergente, il disco ha cominciato a fare il suo lavoro. I CD nuovi ora vengono riprodotti perfettamente senza interruzioni o salti di traccia. Penso di usarlo regolarmente per mantenere la lente del lettore più efficiente. Mi sento di consigliare vivamente questo prodotto di facilissimo utilizzo a chiunque abbia lo stesso problema. Una segnalazione: c'è un foglietto illustrativo con le istruzioni in italiano per l'uso del detergente ma poi quando si inserisce il disco di pulizia ci sono le istruzioni in quasi tutte le lingue fuorché in italiano.
