The end product is good--it dramatically improved the brightness in our kitchen, and the result is spectacular. Here are few caveats, though:Your end result will only be as good as the light bulbs you choose for the light. We chose the LED Dimmable Vintage Edison Led Bulbs 6W Antique Style Edison Light Bulbs, 2300K Warm White (Amber Gold Glass), Squarrel Cage Filament Vintage Light Bulb,ST64, E26 Base and they are beautiful. They work in our kitchen well because a yellowish light works well.The packaging for the light is horrible--it comes in a box lined with that cheap non-recyclable cardboard that sheds all over the place.The instructions are horrible: they are not written by a native English speaker and they gave you a two inch drawing from which you have to figure out assembly. The documentation doesn't include a description of the types of screws included in the kit. Because our installation required a medallion since we were replacing a kitchen light with a much wider base, we needed longer machine screws than were included in the kit, so we had to find someone to measure the screws and threads to get the right kind (#10 - 32 screws are the correct size--we need 2" screws instead of the included 1" screws.)Each arm has two wires coming from the socket into the light's hub, so you have to join the 8 white wires to the wire that goes to the ceiling and then the 8 black wires have to be joined in the same wire. It requires some decent skill with wire nuts.The instructions don't include what tools you need--you will need a 9/16" box wrench to tighten the arms to the light's hub. They don't mention this step in the instructions, either, but you'll need to do it.You will likely want a dimmer on this lamp--the end result is quite bright (which is great) but you'll need sunglasses when you're not doing prep work unless you can tone it down a bit.Overall, we're very happy with the way the lamp looks--just wish the manufacturer had made the process easier (snap in connections would have been a nice feature, better written directions, better packaging).

Instructions were not really great, it was easier to assemble using the images off amazon then the 1 piece of paper with a black and white poorly printed image.only mounting hardware for drywall, not universal mounting bracket for ceiling included, had to make my own bracket with piece left over from previous light bracket. if you can't do what I did you will have to go to the store to buy a mount.everything else seems to be find with the light fixture. happy so far , only 2 days in.

This comes completely disassembled. Each arm is already wired and you fish all 8 through the already made holes. They are numbered on where to put them so it doesn't take much thought, but this also means you can change the configuration if you wanted (which could be a good option depending on your room setup). Once you attach the arms, you then must tie the wires together. Once that is done, it is just like hanging any other light. I used 60w LED Edison style bulbs and it is VERY bright. It is in a 15x20 room in our house. I would probably recommend getting 40w bulbs.

Omg I love this light. I got led old timey light bulbs at 4000k to match my canned lights above my sink. Works great for a recessed light remodel! Easy to install if you already have a light mount installed. I had to buy a mount to install into the ceiling where I replaced 3 florescent lights with this one beauty.

I've installed dozens of light fixtures over the years and never before I have worked with something so poorly made. The metal used for the threaded base of the arms is so soft that that tightening the nuts causes them to strip. The wire going to each bulb is glorified speaker wire and is stranded with so few strands that it was impossible to ever get all of them in one nut and make a solid connection. The wiring connector supplies is a joke. I'm gladly returning this monstrosity.

Photos are misleading. Just a fixture without or glass of any kind. Came with zero instructions but not too hard to puzzle out. Looks nice in the right setting.

This may look nice in the picture, but it is junk. The wires are too stuff to group together and you can't make the bare part longer. The mount is also junk. Only 7 of the 8 lights work. Spend a few bucks and but something decent

This ceiling lamp looks just like the photos and is beautiful. It is pretty easy to hang yourself. It is pretty large so be sure to measure your space and leave room for the Edison bulbs which you must get seperately.
