SOUNDS RAD
For the price these hit hard. I was skeptical cause of the cheap price but they are amazing. I got lucky, I caught these and the boss amp/wiring kit on a really good sale. I got everything needed for $350 then went to Best Buy where they installed them THE SAME DAY I got them for $149. So from start to finish $600 for everything done, is nuts. Highly recommend. If your dash kit is too expensive or you don’t have the money for a head unit, just buy a Line Output Converter which allows you to connect your subs and amp to your stock radio. That’s what I did, and I use a Bluetooth transmitter and they hit hard and sound good. If you’re on a budget then go with these and the boss amp, and boss wiring kit. Call your local Best Buy set up appointment and boom. DONE

Best bang for your buck on Amazon, tempted to get another one and have 2 in my truck 😏🤣💁♂️
Idk what everyone's deal is. This is a steal. I have the sealed enclosure (better sound quality) hooked up to a 1100watt amp and I have it turned down almost all the way and this mofo BANGS like a single mom. If your going for budget and sound, do it. With proper break in (20hz-40hz sweep for a few hours), a decent amp, and a remote bass control you'll be loud enough to get noise complaints in no time 😎💁♂️💯 10/10.

Amazing Subs.
Update Review: I was sent the correct item after the reorder. I can't imagine finding a better deal on subs that are enclosed than this product. Very strong. My teen son was quite impressed. He helped me install. I did not go with the amp/sub package here as the reviews said the amp wasn't great. I went with Audiozerone ZE1000.1 2000W Monoblock Class D amp to push these subs. Does a fantastic job also for a great deal. Used 4guage wiring kit (also from amazon). My son and I were able to install this without issue. I can confirm it fits in the trunk (barely) in 2009 Ford Mustang GT Convertible.Original Review: Saw review of speaker not matching listing. I also received old out dated speakers. Had to return. I would keep this if they had the same specs, but this one received is inferior by a good bit. So looks like it may be hit or miss if you get the correct product. I reordered hoping I get what is in the listing. Have to check model number on the box. New version does have white lettering that only says MTX, but the box will have the model number which is how you can tell. Last digit should be a “D”

Great speakers
I see packages with these speakers and here the app that comes with it is not enough. I opted for an MTX thunder amp versus the Terminator and I couldn't be happier. They are in my plumbing van so I don't want them to be too crazy but I feel they could handle more power if I wanted to give it

Subs are awesome. Amp too small.
The subs are awesome, the box is smaller than I was expecting and was able to push all the way up against the back seat still leaving me with most of my trunk. The seal on the box is really good as well, pushing in one sub cone makes the other push out, that is a good seal. Nice to know MTX is still making quality stuff after all these years. The MTX amp that comes with this is so tiny and not enough to correctly power two 12" subwoofers. Just order the subs alone and get the Blaupunkt AMP3000D also on Amazon instead. It easily powers the subs without having to crank the bass boost and gain all he way up. If this combo does not thump your head-unit may have a weak pre-amp signal. I had this problem and fixed with this item from Amazon, Recoil LOCD Active 2-Channel Line Output Converter Line Driver 2-in-1, 10V Line Output Signal with Auto Sense Remote Turn-on. It cleaned up and boosted the pre-amp signal. All together the subs are BOOMING.

Best bump for the price!
Shipping was excellent! The subs exceeded my expectations, quality rubber used! where others in this price range use foam. Everything is solid and of high quality. Im pushing these thumpers with a 600 watt jensen walmart amp, not bridged on 1 of my 2 channels. @ 2ohms its pulling 140-150 watts from the amp and it absolutely pounds my expedition. Glad I chose MTX! i had a set similar to these in the 2000's and they were just as good as they are today. Goals met, neighbors annoyed!

Yooo MTX, Where's the quality control!?
The Subs look awesome, the box is beautiful and the price is nice. I installed these subs with a Hifonics Zeus Gamma 1200.1D which puts out about 450w rms at @ 2ohms. With the gain bareley on for my ritual 2 week break in period the subs seemed to bump harder than they are suppose too. I double checked everything: breakers, wiring, batteries, ect.... Low and behold the problem is the ohm load. the ohm load determines how much power the amp puts out. in this case as you can see from the pic we're getting close to the 1 ohm mark(1.6). which means the subs are getting more power than i intended from the amp i selected. Closer to 550w instead of the 450w thats needed. If i left the set-up the way it was the speakers would have blown for sure in a day or 2. maybe i'll keep them an get a smaller amp that puts out about 500w at 1ohm or keep the box and replace the subs with 2ohm dvc subs wired in series-parallel for a 2 ohm final load. either way its more time and money than i wanted to invest in a budget build for my daily driver. i got talked into buying these subs by a friend that swears by MTX. He's an idiot & MTX are jerks for not checking these things. if you tell us the ohm load is 1.6 from the start we can plan a build that allows for that. but instead i got 8ga pwr/gnd when it should be 4ga and the subs pulling a 1ohm load instead of 2ohms. Thanks for nothing MTX this is the last dollar you will ever get from me or anyone i know......Update 9/25/23: I've decided to keep the subs and the box. As for the subs, I ordered a ported box for more ventilation and seperate terminals for each speaker since they are SVC I don't have many options. Separately they should be 4ohms or close to it and I can have a solid month to break them in before wiring to 2ohms for more power. After I break them in it won't matter if the multimeter says 1.6 ohms because at that point they can handle the power. Just so you know I always overpower the amps in my build by 25% so the amp doesn't have to work as hard to make the RMS payload. For example if I have 2-12" 2 ohm DVC subs that need 500w RMS each that's 1000w RMS. I get an amp that puts out about 1250w certified at a 2 ohms. As for the box, its really purrty so I'll use it in another build later on down the line. Shout out to Bid D Wiz @ Williston Audio Labs on youtube.
