Small and Chic: High Style for Small Spaces

I bought this book for my boyfriend, whose personal style is reflected tremendously in this book. We saw it in a little shop in Cannon Beach, but I knew I could get it for a better price on Amazon.com. This book is for the Interior-Decorator types that won't get bored after one 'flip-through'. There isn't much text, mostly just pictures of different styles of houses from all over the world, some quite breath-taking.

Great photography and beautiful settings. However, overall I found most of the featured spaces impersonal and stark. The settings felt so "high art" to me that I couldn't relate to them. I would have preferred more of a balance of different styles, not so exclusively cool and minimal.

This book is a great read. Well worth the purchase if you are at all interested in small spaces.It also looks nice on the coffee table.

I gave this book 4 stars because it has nothing new and exciting in it. I plan to donate all my small spaces books to my city's public library and this will be a good addition.

Good b ook

Takes the reader into the world of "small style." Europeans and others are used to small, efficient use of valuable space. The idea "less is more" is often depicted - but doesn't mean it is short on style or the costs to create the effects.Quality space planning and simplicity are key! It definitely helps re-imagine design solutions for some of the tiny spaces that folks purchase in NYC, etc.

Es muy bonito y aporta muchas ideas sobre lo que puedes hacer en tu propia casa. Muy recomendable si vives en un piso pequeño
