MeindlMen's 3429 31Shoes Portland GTX Size 10,5 Anthracite

Unfortunately these shoes have been returned for a refund. After only 1 short wear the toes have started to 'curl' even though they are the correct size. Very strange... have worn Meindl for years and never had a problem until now.

I have bought the same boots twice and a similar Meindl pair 4 time previously. I wear them nearly all the time and clock up quite a few miles in them. The are good for a wide foot and fit perfectly from getting them out of the box. They are good for trail walking or even just as a daily trainer. The first signs of wear will be from the rubber wearing out on the base under the boot, I would say with average use they should last about 18 months but if used a lot every day then 12 months. If they get dirty I clean the surfaces under a warm tap with a old dish brush and leave them to dry overnight. They come up lovely again. Waterproofing works fine and they are good in all weather’s. I like the design on them and they have a lot of grip.

Been buying this exact model of shoe for the last 10 years cause they're the most comfortable I've found. Wear day to day and find they generally last me 2 years of hard use before the rubber on the sole wears out. Being waterproof doesn't hurt either.
