Spectacular photo quality
One word: WOW. I'm just so thrilled with this camera. It's so easy to use, I didn't once have to break out the instructions to get this thing up and going. It's super sleek looking and the color is a nice touch. Most importantly - the quality of photos is just amazing. Even under low light conditions, the quality doesn't suffer. You can shoot photos pretty quickly and there isnt a long pause time, for those wanting to take quick shots and not miss the moment. Battery life is excellent; I've easily taken 150+ pictures and several videos and the batteries are still going strong. Videos are okay, definitely not HD quality, but I didn't purchase this camera for that feature, and it's nice having video capability if nothing else is available. Anyway, my video should speak for itself. There are several different modes to choose from for those who are control freaks. As far as the "share" feature, I'm not quite sold on it yet. It's easier for me to just put the SD card into my computer rather than go through the hassle of going through each photo, selecting it, choosing the share option, plugging it into the computer...etc., etc. Overall, a great camera for such a low price and I recommend it.

Great value for money
I wanted a camera that was inexpensive and took good quality pictures without me putting much effort into the process since I'm not a professional photographer. I was very happy with the picture quality. Apart from that, the camera looks good, is easy to operate, has a nice clear "preview" screen and doesn't require any fancy software to upload pictures onto the computer. It does come with some fancy options (like direct upload to Facebook) but I'm not interested in those and cannot comment on how they work. I have not used the camera long enough to comment on battery consumption but you can always purchase a pair of Kodak rechargeable batteries with a re-charging unit for about $8 on Amazon.com. I'd also recommend buying a camera case (I bought a Kodak hardcover case specifically for this model for about $3 on Amazon.com which fits perfectly). Go here if you wish to buy the same: Kodak EVA Hard Camera Case (Compatible: C143, C183, C195, SPORT, M1093 IS, M340, M341, M380, M381, M522, M532, M552, M580, M590, M575, M550, M530, MINI, TOUCH) . Also purchase an external memory card (SD card) for use with the camera. The only noticeable flaw in my camera is that it makes a small continuous clicking noise when it's on. But I'm okay with that as long as it doesn't affect its operation. Verdict: Buy if you are looking for a good quality point-and-shoot camera at a competitive price.

A Great Basic Camera
For a while I've been busily researching cameras for my 5 year old daughter. She's a pretty responsible kid (as 5 year olds go), but I didn't want to spend a fortune on her first camera. I also didn't want to buy her a "kids camera". The ones I found were really nothing more than toys. I landed on this camera as a good balance between price and features, and I'm very pleased with the purchase. The camera was easy to setup, has a big, bright LCD screen, and takes a great picture. Most importantly, it's easy enough for a 5 year old to pick it up pretty quickly. It does a lot more than she'll need at this point, but it's a camera she'll be able to grow into.

Battery cover fails easily
I bought this camera for my daughter and it takes perfectly fine photos. It's easy to use but advanced enough for most casual applications. But -- and I consider this a big "but"-- the battery cover is held closed by only a tiny sliver of plastic. If you drop this thing even once, or even lightly bang it wrong on the table, there is a high probability this piece of plastic will snap and the battery cover will not stay closed any longer. It seems absurd to have the correct functioning of the camera hanging on such a flimsy, easily breakable component. I would have given the camera five stars except for this rather serious flaw.

Great inexpensive point and shoot
I got this for my mom this year for mother's day. I wanted something simple for her to use...if it's too complex, she won't bother. We're up visiting her for summer vacation. What a great little camera. Takes wonderful pictures. Has a small zoom, but she's mostly taking face pictures and group pics, so it's not a real issue. There are a few things that make this a great little camera 1) Great picture quality considering the price 2) Uses AA batteries. I have previously used Cannon's, and hate proprietary batteries. You can't just "buy a battery" for one of those cameras if yours dies at an amusement park. This uses common batteries. BIG TIME +++ 3) Simple controls 4) Small enough to carry in your pocket. It's not ultra-slim, but it's small enough. Overall, it's a great little camera for the inexpensive price-tag

pretty ok camera
I open the camera and pop in the Kodak batteries that came with it, take a few pics and the batteries are dead. That wouldn't be bad if it showed low batt, or blinked or something. Got fresh batteries and worked fine. uploading pics from the camera is not as easy as it looks, and sending pics to Facebook or Flicker can be worrisome beacuse you have to grant access to those sites to Kodak for personal information. The camera is is pretty easy to use and takes nice pics. Good value, but will take some time to master all the functions.
