Have to start by saying I did *NOT* receive any kick backs or freebies for this review. This company simply puts out some awesome toys! The sets are random, but after the first set you won’t mind buying another. There are, however, good and bad as there are with nearly everything when it comes to kids’ stuff, so I’ll make this quick. For reference, this is our 5th purchase in 3 years of these squishy, stretchy ocean animals (different sizes). PROS: - Extremely durable! My boys are 2 and 4 and they ruin everything. They will scratch, bite, chew, throw and stomp on even the toys they love - including these. These squishies still, somehow, manage to withstand the abuse and last for a good 3 months. For normal kids, I’m sure they’d last far longer. *NOTE: Mister Octopus’ arms cannot withstand opposing force from a 33 lb. and 47 lb. child...as is to be expected. The guy has his limits. - Colors are bold and relatively well distributed, though the kids wouldn’t care either way. - Food grade!! As mentioned before, they are biters, I’ve seen the insides of every one of these and am not afraid of having to rush to the ER if they accidentally ingest part of it (which they have). ** Now, don’t leave them unattended, as a mouthful of those beads or a big chunk of silicone could pose a choking hazard, but the beads are like little balls of paper that dissolve when wet, to give an idea what to expect.** - Size! These are all 7-8” long and a great size for play, especially for teething age. I wish I’d gotten these instead of the smaller versions when they were younger. I didn’t want to spend the extra cash but if I were to do it again I’d buy a few packs of the big ones first and the smaller ones later. - They do float! I don’t have to dig in the tub to find them and it makes playing in the aquarium much more fun for them. - Color changers actually DO change color, and the glow in the dark ones will give you a heart attack when you turn out the lights for bedtime and don’t realize they’re hiding under the play table (personal experience). CONS: - The paint is not going to stay put forever. With as stretchy as these are and as much handling as they get, I expect most body parts to be bald within a month. Again, the kids don’t care. - Not necessarily a “con”, but if you have biters like me in the “I’m gonna see if I can break that with my teeth” stage, I’d wait until they’re over the rabid gnawing. A sharp set of incisors can eviscerate one of these poor fish. If that does happen, I just remove the beads, wash, and give it back since they retain shape. IDEAS: - These and orbeez in a tub or aquarium are an absolute hit! I hide them under the orbeez, and have them name the animal/color. My 4 year old knows all the names as well as scientific labels for them because of this. - Great surprise egg gifts. - Gak + these animals = jokes about fish boogers. - ASD kids will love these as a fidget if they’re good with soft textures. - Use them as a reward for potty training, reading, cleaning up, etc. My little dude cleans up his toys knowing he can have his “bwack tip weef shaak” for bed time. - We are working on addition and subtraction with them right now and it’s working!

Very happy with these! They are standing up well to being played with. They have survived the bath, and se no worse for wear. Four of the ones we got glow in the dark and another changed colour in hot/cold water. My little one was very impressed! I’d love to order more so we could get the rest, but worried we’ll end up with the same ones

Product was okay. Upon arrival already one of the toys had broken and leaked styrofoam balls throughout the entire package. Had to wash the toy and get all of the balls out of it just to make sure that my nephew didn't play with them or end up eating them. Another toy had an arm broken off. Overpriced for what it was. Definitely feels like cheap mass produced products but at a cost higher than they should be.

I was very pleased with these rubber toys, or as my kids call them, “squishies.” My kids, who were 2 and 5 at the time, were very excited to play with them. We’d take the toys to the pool, splash pad, in the car, in the bath, and they’d play with them all the time inside as well. My kids really seem to enjoy the fact that they can manipulate the toys so easily, since they are rubber, and also find them to be rather lifelike. I was also very pleased with the customer service I received. They went above and beyond to make my purchase a pleasant one. I’ve been so happy with the company and their toys, that I’ve ordered at least 5 or 6 different sets. (They have a great variety of sets.) They’ve made great birthday gifts, and I love adding to our collection at home as well. I love how the toys inspire children to research animals and find out more about them. They love to look in books to find their sea creatures, and see what exactly they’re called, where they live, what they eat, etc. I find the toys exciting too, and I’m an adult. We also enjoy the fact that they’re random packs, because you never can be too sure what you’ll get. It makes it exciting, but it also makes it difficult to collect all of the animals, since you are likely to get repeats when you reorder. But oh well! If you order another set and it’s all the same ones, give them as a gift to another child! :) As far as durability, I find the toys to be as durable as you can expect from something made of soft rubber. (And it has to be soft in order for the toy to be as fun and enjoyable as it is!) My youngest left the toys outside for an entire summer, in water and buried in sand. They held up fine and never tore or broke, but I did have to discard of some of them ONLY BECAUSE (as I said) my child repeatedly left them in dirty water in 90+ degree heat and in all sorts of weather, and they started to get really nasty looking. But that’s expected when ANY toy gets left outside for a long period. So all-in-all, these make the best toys!! My oldest child is almost 7 and still loves to play with these, and so do their friends when they come over.
