This is a really well made, solid & dependable torque wrench. I have a beam type torque wrench, too, but it's too difficult to read most of the time. (I'm a driveway Jeep mechanic). This ratcheting/click wrench has the leverage and audible break to make jobs easy. It comes with a legitimate calibration certificate, and it's made in the United States. It's ALWAYS worth a higher price for good tools that won't fail me (i.e. not made in PRC).

Have 3 of these in different sizes...so far they are nice. The only complaint I have is that the locking collar does not disengage fully and sometimes when turning the handle you can feel the "click, click, click" of each detent inside the handle. Proto seems to make their tools "nearly" perfect...and this is a frustration for me as I really do love their tools!

Solid, easy to use. You push a collar up to adjust the torque, let the collar go and it locks down the selected torque, no guess work, and no difficult spin to lock collars. Accuracy to 4% CW is on par with the best. It is pretty big, which may be impractical for some applications.
