Great product.
I have one large container that doesn’t reach my sprinkler system. These are perfect tor keeping it watered. Holds a good bit of water so you don’t have to check it for several days. Really a good buy. I also like that they are clear snd blend into flowers.

Pretty and works well
This is an enormous water spike. I love the way it looks and it is so easy to fill. However be forewarned that it comes in two pieces and is a bit delicate. I shattered the first one I ordered just trying to insert the mouth piece into the silicone sleeve on the bottom spike. Amazon sent a replacement, and I was extremely careful with putting together the top and bottom. Also, because it is so big, it really is only for use in very large plants. The plant I had planted initially bought this for was in an eight inch tabletop planter. This saturated the soil to the point that I had water leaking all over my table from the bottom of the pot. I switched this over to my huge Chinese Evergreen in a 12 inch floor planter. It is working wonderfully for that. It keeps the soil moist without being saturated, which is really what we’re looking for.I do wish they made this in a smaller size for average size houseplants. I happen to have some very large plants, but I don’t think a lot of folks have plants that large.

Attractive and easy to refill
These plant watering globes are attractive, have a large capacity, a low profile, and are convenient to refill. I love them!

Picture comparison included
The best thing about this globe and stake set is the price is great and it will work nicely if handled delicately and placed in a planter on the ground. Please see picture comparison between this product and the small and large Plant Nanny. The negatives are - one out of 3 arrived broken, It's much more delicate, thinner glass than the plant nanny, the stake is extremely tiny which means if you have a large plant it won't reach as much roots, its top heavy, not much support. I believe it's not suited for hanging planters where it would easily fall over and hit someone in the head. It's also very hard to refill in a hanging planter. In a small floor planter it would be great. My Plant Nanny's are quite old. With a vinegar soak they would be sparkling white again.

These Globe Waterers Actually Work!
I love these globes. I don't have to worry about watering my succulents and I like their aesthetic value. I actually receive compliments as to how they look in my pots. Like the fact there's a cap to prevent the little bugs from invading the water and prevent evaporation so all water goes into the soil/roots. I have purchased "bargain" brands that tout the same qualities but found they didn't distribute water consistently or some, not at all. I have the irrigation cones also from this brand and they too, work well, especially when I travel for periods of time.

Working great for supplemental watering
I’ve been using this for about 6 weeks with an heart-leafed ice plant in a smallish pot on a shaded patio in Arizona. I used to have to hand water the plant every morning, but this globe supplies the plant water for about 4 days before needing a refill, and the plant has stayed in good health. I love that it has a larger capacity and a plug to prevent evaporation compared to some others I’ve found that have needed refills every other day in 100-110 degree dry weather. I’ll probably need two globes per pot for larger or thirstier plants, and even for small outdoor flowering plants this won’t quite work alone for a week-long vacation in a low desert summer (it likely will last that long between refills if in a cooler or more humid environment or used indoors), but it’s a great watering option to keep potted patio plants alive if away from home for only a few days, even in AZ at the most challenging time of year, so I will be investing in a few more.

OK
This isn’t OK product, but it does not water my plants sufficiently. I wouldn’t purchase another one.

Best of many
I have a lot of self watering globes but these are by far my favorite. Here's why:- Function. It has a removable top that allows easy access to top off the water. No more pulling it out of the soil and jabbing it back in!- Ceramic tip. Allows for better watering. The other pure glass ones that I have always suck soil and sediment back into the globe. Not this one!-Size. Holds a lot of water without being unbalanced or top heavy. Even with my "most thirsty" plants, I'm only refilling it once every 1.5 weeks. My other "less needy" plants go much longer.- Looks great. The ridged glass has a vintage clean appearance that really looks great in a pot full of greenery. It does everything I hoped it would do, and more.
