Great quality but very wide spray
Works just as it should and great quality, however a bit too wide of a spray for my needs. Im gonna try out their adjustable spray tip.Used for a DIY 12v battery operated sprayer cart. Used it one time so far and it's great quality.Chapin 6-1898 shut off nozzleChapin 6-5797 fan tip (sprays too wide, I'm going to try their adjustable tip next)Chapin 6-7703 extensionZLWAWAOL Ryobi adapterEastrans 3/8 ID X 10 FT high pressure tubingSEAFLO 12V 100PSI diaphragm pump(very strong! see pic where I show handle tied to hose by hose clamp because it was blasting it off even with tight clamp)5 gallon bucket garden caddy ($60 Walmart)

High Quality, Lower than claimed Flow Rate. YMMV.
First, this is a very nice fan-tip for a Chapin or (in my case) vintage Craftsman sprayer (which I'm sure was made by Chapin for Sears). Solid brass, and it emits a nice, even, wide flat spray which is non-adjustable. However, my sprayer, filled to the ONE (1) Gallon mark, emptied after 3.5 minutes. That's about 0.3 gal/min, less than the rated 0.5 gal/min which Chapin cites. My sprayer was well-pumped, and I pumped it several times during the test to make sure tank pressure was adequate. It is, OTOH, a higher rate of flow than the Chapin fan-tip sprayer nozzle 3-6001, from which I get only 0.2 gal/min. I ended up also ordering a Chapin 6-5793 fan-tip nozzle, rated at 1.0 gal/min, but have yet to receive or test it for flow rate. These tips appear to fit all standard Chapin brass wands. It must fit other models than mine, based on the included Male-to-Male adapter and O-ring, which I did not need.UPDATE - I received a 6-5793 fan-tip nozzle and tested it. Flow rate with a well-pumped sprayer was only about 0.5 gpm, well under the 1.0 flow rate cited by Chapin and stamped onto the nozzle itself. Email response from Chapin stated "...the PSI that these are tested at is 40 PSI...they are not tested by us here at the facility, they are tested by an outside company, certified, and we then purchase them." So, while these tips are well-constructed, I am of the opinion that they suffer from quality control problems in the manufacturing and testing processes.

This is a great addition to your sprayer
Adding this to your sprayer make a big improvement over the stock spray head. Produces a strong fan pattern that is much better than the fan pattern from the stock head.

The best spray head I’ve ever owned.
This is a great spray nozzle. The pattern is a perfect fan. The engineering and machine work on these parts is precision.
