This is a commercial-grade printer, not homeowner
I think HP's printers can be divided into "home" printers and "commercial" printers. The home printers are built for occasional use and are expected to fail and be thrown away after printing maybe 10,000 pages. The commercial printers are built to work forever and be repaired when they have a problem. A commercial printer's lifetime page count is measured in the hundreds of thousands. This is a commercial printer. It works. It can be repaired -- you can find a service manual for it online. You can order parts for it. One toner cartridge costs around $200, but it can printer something like 12,000 pages. Given that a full set of ink cartridges for my previous inkjet printer cost in excess of $75 and always seemed to be running out, the toner cartridge at $200 is a bargain.I particularly like the manual-feed option for printing envelopes. The front flips open, you slide in an envelope (or sheet of special paper, or whatever), the printer senses the envelope or paper, and chooses it instead of the main paper tray, which incidentally holds a full package (500 sheets) of paper. My only complaint was with the seller. I bought a used printer from one of the sellers listed. The seller advertised the printer as "like new." If you check, Amazon has very specific requirements for an item described as "like new." When the printer arrived, it did not meet Amazon's "like new" criteria. I got into the printer's service mode, which had preserved the printer's operating statistics, and discovered that the lifetime page count for the printer was over 90,000 pages. Hardly "like new." I wrote to Amazon, and Amazon immediately offered to replace the printer or give a partial refund. Since the printer did in fact look "like new" and worked flawlessly, I opted for the partial refund. The printer continues to perform perfectly, and my experience confirms, I think, the quality of these printers. After over 90,000 pages, it shows no sign of its age. (Presumably the seller did some amount of refurbishing prior to sale.)Amazon support was great, and the printer --- even though it was more used than the description indicated --- was a great value for the price.[Edit: three years later]It Just Works. I'm still totally satisfied with it. In three years I've printed (it says) 16,442 pages. There have been virtually zero problems. The only (minor) problem I've had was some streaking that showed up a few weeks ago. I wiped out the paper path as much as I could and ran a couple of cleaning cycles, and it's fine.[Edit: Feb 2024]After eight years, it's still going strong. Works great.

HP LaserJet 3015DN
Setup is failrly strait forward. The printer is excellent quality. The secret to the HP printrs is before adding to the network, alwaya...always download the latest driver library and update the firmware with the latest firmware available. This really solved the paper jams from the high speed printing. This one has a quite mode that is very highly appreciated from the office workers and the speed to print is 7.5-8 sec which is also a nice feature. The big plus is that this printer is based on current medium frame HP printer chassis which are quite robust. This is in the mid to lower side for the medium business and works great for a 5-10 person office. The print speed is quite impressive and will hold an entire ream of paper. Testing it, I printed several small book size print jobs and finished much faster that expected. The add on of additional paper trays and accessories are plug and play with the correct driver available for download. So far has been very good purchase and if as good as the last midsize HP purchased we will get a good 5 years of solid daily use from this printer.

Best printer I have owned...
We put this printer through the ringer and it still works great. We pump out about 75 documents a day for five days a week, 51 weeks a year. I have had this printer for 15 months and never had jamming issues. What we do is print receipts and adhesive shipping labels. Other printers we have used would cause some remnants of the adhesive to stick to the printer components and cause jams almost every day. But this one is a real trooper. We have never cleaned it and it still runs smoothly. Its paper capacity is also good being at a full ream with the ability to add a second stage for two reams.Out of the 12 laser printers I have purchased in the last 7 years, this one has been the best mid-level production printer.UPDATE 16 Feb 2015: Here it is two years after writing this review and over three years after purchasing the printer. It is still going strong with no troubles. We must have put over 100,000 sheets of paper through this thing and it keeps on ticking.

Great Printer
I've had the printer for about a month now and can say this is the best laser printer i have owned. I have owned the HP laserjet 2100 which lasted 10 yrs and a brother 4070cdw which only lasted 3yrs. I have changed fusers, belts and rollers, so I do consider myself knowledgeable on the topic.I did read the negative reviews before I bought the printer but my 10 yrs with the hp 2100 won out. I did update the firmware and downloaded the latest drivers and the printer worked as promised. It was quick, even with duplex on. But then that phantom jam occurred. My fix was simple. Turns out that the paper tray was one notch too tight on the paper itself. i spread the adjuster and I haven't had the jam again. Also the paper may have been a little humid which caused it to curl.I've printed over 2000 pgs and still no problem.Great printer!
