As expected.
My old battery was at the end of its life. Following the simple instructions, I connected this replacement to my APC unit. Moments later, the unit worked like new and has been functioning great ever since. Highly recommended.

I'm glad I bought OEM
I've had a Back UPS 1250 NG that I had set aside a while ago when the original battery started to puff on me.I finally got around to needing it, and had planned on buying some third-party batteries, until I saw that this wasn't much more money. I figured for a few dollars more, it was probably worth the peace of mind knowing that I'd probably have a battery that lasted as long as the original. The package came with APC branded documentation, and the battery had the diagnostic printout that you normally expect with APC products. I ordered the battery in early March, and the date on the diagnostic was from late October. The battery itself came with the jumper wire across the packs, and had plastic terminal guards. Once I dropped it into my UPS, it showed 100% charge with the UPS unplugged. Adding a normal load to the UPS, it was able to maintain power for about as long as when the UPS was new (about 40 minutes), and charged right back up when I restored power. Can the other batteries do the same? Maybe. But I'd rather not entrust things to "maybe" if the difference in price is less than the cost of lunch.

Genuine APC Battery Cartridge
This is the battery that came with my UPS unit when it was brand new. The price was reasonable and because it is an APC unit, it will last a very long time the way the original cartridge did. There no reason to get aftermarket or off brand parts when the original is available and the price is competitive.

Battery arrived completely dead and unusable
I received this battery today for my old bx1500 apc ups with the red lcd screen. I unboxed it and installed into the housing closed it up and didn't even think twice about it. Went down the hallway to where it goes, set it down and plugged it in, plugged a single device into it then turned the power on and walked away.It cycled itself on and a couple of seconds later it started beeping but I was at the other end of the house and couldn't hear it. I went back down there a few minutes later and started hearing the beeping then as I got closer I realized that it was the APC so I looked at the screen and saw that the battery symbol was completely empty. I turned the power off and double checked the connectors on the battery which were fully plugged on.It was then that I realized that I'd received a defective battery so I unplugged the unit and removed the battery. Logged into Amazon and clicked on return item and was greeted by a get help screen that I could not get past to finish the return. Had to select something so I chose chat only to end up with an AI driven assistant. I had to go back and forth with it quite a bit before it realized that I was trying to return a defective item and offered a returnless refund which I accepted.I will not buy APC products again and am going to throw this unit away because its practically impossible to get a replacement battery now. I'm going to stick with Cyberpower products.Do not buy these old batteries. Mine was covered in dust on all sides like it had been sitting in a warehouse for many years and the cardboard on the factory box was soft like old school chinese paper.

Makes the beep go away
When your APC UPS starts beeping at you, it's time for a new battery. Mine had a picture of a battery with an X on it on the display, so this was kind of a no brainer. You order the right size APC replacement battery (get the model off your unit and look it up), and it goes in almost as easily as a smoke detector. The only reason it's not quite that easy is that your UPS is probably on the floor like mine and behind something. The battery is heavy and you may have to flip your UPS over to get at the battery door, plus there are all those power cables plugged in. So, a little more trouble than a smoke detector, but you probably don't have to stand on a ladder, either. The battery did what it was supposed to do, which is make me forget about it. It's been in a few weeks, and if it stops working I'll be back to update this, but otherwise a happy ending. And with the number of electrical glitches we get, this UPS has saved me from losing work at least once a month, if not more often. Protect all your equipment this way, and buy replacement batteries when you need them.

If you have bad runtime, do not forget to 'reset battery install date' and calibrate!
A lot of reviews here are saying their runtime is shorter than expected, but if you forget to 'reset battery install date,' as well as do not calibrate it, the system (in my case with Back-UPS 1500va) does not fully charge the battery. "Calibrating" is simply running a small load on battery briefly, or just running the internal Self-Test. From there as it charges it can more properly calculate your actual load.At installation, my UPS claimed the battery was at 75%. I did a self test and it knocked it down to 70%. Ever since the Charged Capacity percentage has been going down, while it is charging. However the "estimated runtime" has not. This is part of the calibration as it learns that the new fresh battery can hold more capacity than it is used to from the old battery. (See screenshots)After a few hours, and a few more self tests to put load on the batteries (I did a self test about once every 90 minutes), the system has balanced out and fully charged the batteries. I can already tell these batteries are better than the off-brand I had, because a self-test only knocks it down to 94%, where with the off-brand it knocked it down to about 65%.I flagged it as 2 stars for 'easy to install' because mine was glued together incorrectly (see pic), and I had to carefully separate the batteries in order to install them. I am sure this is a one-off factory issue, but kinda surprised it passed QA at APC.
