Rheem RTG20224A Tankless Commercial Conversion Kit

We recently installed  Rheem RTGH-95DVLN Indoor Direct Vent Tankless Natural Gas Water Heater  in our NE-NJ 3100 sq ft / 3 full bath home, but even at max 140F, the water was just warm enough for showers in summer. With our previous Rheem Professional Prestige 42VP75FW 75 gallon tank water heater, water was very hot (set at 150F by builder/original owner). Wife gave me a disappointed look after noticing the kitchen faucet water wasn't even hot enough to properly defrost frozen containers of soup...Thank goodness our plumber installed the Rheem Professional RTGH-95DVLN model (as recommended by all plumbers; about the same price), rather than the consumer-grade  Rheem EcoSense ECOH200DVLN Tankless Water Heater  (sold here and at HD). The professional model accepts this $30 chip to upgrade to a "commercial grade," raising the max temperature from 140F to 185F!Very simple installation: directions are clearly written, and only requires a Phillips screw driver and <1 minute.Temperature increments:100F-120F: 2F (100F, 102F, 104F, ..., 120F)120F-130F: 5F (120F, 125F, 130F)130F-170F: 10F (130F, 140F, 150F, 160F, 170F) - above 140F requires this commercial conversion kit170F-185F: 15F (next highest after 170F is directly 185F)Wife whole-heartedly approved of the new 160F temperature setting.
