Absolutely bargain on a really great camera bag!
I took a gamble and got the smaller camera case for my Nikon D100. It works great and the size is PERFECT for me. It easily holds the camera body and lens. Space/Size I do like to keep the camera cables/charger, etc. together, but this bag is a bit of a tight squeeze. (I have a UK charger so require an additional adapter--- which combined take up valuable space.) I was able to fit everything in but either taking the camera out or putting back in without fiddling with the other bits makes it a challenge. HOWEVER, I would rather not traipse around carrying the extra weight, so I am contented to keep the charger and cable in a logical location for regular top-up of the battery. Overall, I love the size of this camera bag; it's compact and not something I'd have to worry about side-swapping someone with as I walk past. It's also easier to tuck to my side for security purposes. Design/Shape I thought this was a pretty clever design. The bottom is a flat and rigid (durable) plastic, and even with the camera inside it stands up on its own. The zip into the main compartment is on the top, following three sides of the case. The zipped side and front pouches would be perfect if I needed the space for extra batteries, memory cards, or heck, other sundries if I wanted to forgo my purse. Not really enough room to totally abandon my handbag, of course! But plenty for the 'day-long outing' sort of supplies (lip balm, cards/cash, keys, etc.). I also like the should strap and cushioned handle on the top of the case in case I want to carry in my hand. The exterior is made of a rugged material with nice trim designs, and the zippers seem to be pretty durable. Finally, I think the interior is well-cushioned, which is something I need to see Overall, I haven't had much chance to use this out in the field, but I am pleased with this purchase and despite the space limitations I still would prefer this size as I don't like carrying around larger/bulkier items. I still can't believe I got this for the price paid-- what a steal!

Great DSLR Case; I Have 4 Cases But Use This One 90% of the Time
I really like AmazonBasics stuff. They generally provide good quality, and good prices, for things like cables and cases. This camera case is no exception. I own a Nikon D810 with a 28-300mm zoom lens, and this case is the perfect fit. I have other lenses as well, and a larger AmazonBasics camera case that can carry all of my camera gear. Plus I own 2 other holster cases as well (my kids joke about my camera case collection). But out of my 4 DSLR cases, I find that I am using this holster case 90% of the time due to its combination of size, portability, protection, and convenient zipper pockets to carry accessories. I like the solid plastic base. Makes the case stand up easily, plus provides protection from wet ground or puddles. I also like the top handle. The front zipper pouch holds my lens pen cleaner and spare battery. In 1 side pocket I put extra memory cards, and in the other side pocket I put a lens polarizer filter. The case has decent padding, but if I had one recommendation to Amazon, it would be to increase the padding at the bottom of the chamber, since this is where the weight of the camera+lens sits. Overall, it's a great case for about half the price of the LowePro TopLoader Zoom holster case, which is the other case I was considering.

Great for one-lens entry or mid-level SLRs
This is an excellent bag for an entry-level or mid-range DSLR camera with a single lens, and should also accommodate an attached battery grip. It is best suited for use with a "super-zoom" or all-in-one lower-level lens, like an 18-135, 28-135, 24-85, 15-85, that sort of thing. It might handle a 28-200, or a higher end lens like a 17-55, 17-40, or 24-105, but I don't know for sure. It will NOT handle a second lens, so if you are starting out with a two-lens kit (like 18-55 and 55-250), this is not the bag for you. The pockets on the outside are slim. I fit a 58mm filter in its round plastic case in one, and a spare tripod plate and allen key in the other. The front pocket is also slim, and has two little soft-lined pouches that would fit SD cards. There is no room for a separate flash, not even a little one. I see two great uses for this bag. (1) new DSLR owners who bought a lower-level camera and a superzoom, like a Rebel or 70D with with an 18-135, or (2) photo buffs looking for a cheap knockaround bag for an older film camera. I fall into the second category. I bought this for a Canon EOS Elan 7N, with battery grip, plus a 28-105 lens. The front pocket is a little slim for extra rolls of film, but you can probably get two rolls in there, plus some extra batteries. I got a pair of CR123A batteries into one of the SD card pouches. Because my lens for this camera is relatively compact, I also wedged a 40mm pancake lens inside the main compartment in a thin pouch, but that is a really tight fight. The pancake will not fit in the side pocket unless you remove the rear cap (or somebody starts selling a pancake rear cap HINT HINT). I also tested this camera with my 100mm USM macro (not the L version) and it fit, but it was not tall enough for my 70-300mm. The Elan 7N plus battery grip fills up the space at the top. Anything wider would be tight, but might be doable without a battery grip. The specs on my camera are 5.78 inches or 146.7 mm wide, and probably about the same height with the battery grip. My biggest complaint? There is no belt loop on the back. Your carrying options are the shoulder strap or the hand strap (which is mostly just for picking up and setting down). A belt loop would have made this a nice addition to a waist or shoulder pack for other lenses.

For the price range and the quality made, I’d say it worths every dollar. The size is big enough to store a camera and a lens in, the whole bag fully padded on the inside, I can rest assure that my camera and lens will be protected inside. I like the solid and smooth zipper and clip chain, it seems like it can hold the camera weight with no issue. The strap is wide enough and is build for comfort when strap around the waist. I love the design of the side pockets where I can put tissues, memory cards, battery, keys, and it’s perfect for an outdoor shooting on the go.
