a little tight / sticky getting the USB female side to connect, but does its job well

The USB disco dance of death
This works as intended as an OTG interface to my Oneplus 8 smartphone. However I had to fiddle with OTG's female end to get my flash stick to work. If I wasn't careful I'd get a USB drive disconnect. So, If you're writing or copying files from your OnePlus to an external flash drive then you could be risking flash drive corruption issues.If you have something on your flash drive you can't afford to lose then make a back up of your flash drive before using this USB OTG dongle.This next part is disappointing but keep in mind this isn't a standard USB-C OTG cable, but it's necessary for the non standard USB-C OnePlus smartphone interface. If you use a standards based USB-C OTG on your OnePlus you're going to ruin your smartphone to the point where you'll need to have it repaired.

I returned it because it was not the type of cable I needed.

Pick another brand. This is a knock off or a refurb
The connection to the phone was sloppy so it would not recognize the device or the plug being inserted, returned

Can't make the cable stay connected to the phone
I bought this cable to be used with my Oneplus 6 (mostly because of the matching colors with the original USB-C cable & charger) and while it works without a problem, the male connector disconnects from the phone at the minimum movement you make. It feels like the connector doesn't completely snaps into the port and something is loose.I thought it could be a problem with my phone, but none other USB-C cable behaves this way.
