Perfect piece of equipment for my 50 ltr aquarium. Quiet,with adjustable lights inc moonlight mode. Perfect size, easy to assemble canister, neat size for discrete storage and value for money. Would definitely recommend. Just remember to check size and type of light to aquarium if you're a beginner. These are clearly described on the box and in the amazon details section. I am incredibly impressed with the 107. I moved from an internal filter and the water clarity improved within 24 hours. The new 'rubber feet' and the re-engineered motor make it practically silent—I have to check the surface ripples just to make sure it's on. It’s a five-star, high-quality essential for anyone who wants a professional-looking tank.

This is a great external filter for fishtanks. It lasts one month before needing cleaning and some of the filter medium replacing. Water outlet acts like a waterfall, agitating the water surface and helping to aerate the water. Keeps the water nice and clear. Carbon bags and filter pads are available as a kit with 6 months supply and are easy to change. Sponges should be rinsed clean in water taken from your fishtank once a month and replaced after 6 months. Filter runs quietly. Can add a UVC Clarifier (available to buy separately) if needed to kill off algae. My fishtank stands on a cabinet so the filter is hidden inside the cabinet. I would definitely recommend this fishtank filter.

I would recommend this product and probably any external filter from Fluvial, it's a bit noisy however with some extra acoustic foam the filter goes almost silent, the structure is sturdy and the filtering material is conveniently organised so it's easy to clean up. I had the pleasure to have a first generation of these Fluvial filters long time ago and worked like a charm then I moved and had to give it away (probably it still working), then in the past 2 years I had another brand external filter which died just after ~18 months and was so painful to clean. I would recommend these Fluvial filters to everyone which want to move out from an internal filter system to a more performant and maintainable system. There are 2 things which I'd flag to Fluvial: - the design of the filter head could be improved to permit to open the bucket with ease. - the red plastic which help the user to remove the 2 grey sections from the bucket could had a clip to the bottom of the bottom grey section.

We have kept fish for many years. We’ve had lots of brands of filters. We currently have a number of tanks. This is by far the best filter. The company have taken on customer feedback on ergonomics and ease of use. More importantly, it does a fantastic job of keeping tank water quality at an amazing standard. We use it on a 60L which might be slightly overkill but the water looks brilliant and tests better. Highly recommended. Oh and it’s whisper quiet too compared to some units. Bravo.

Good product

Expensive rubbish. Bought this for my new 70 litre set up. Noisy from day 1 but hoped it would resolve itself .Pump set up as per instructions .Poor sealing and then the nightmare happened. Started leaking then Clamp blew off flooding the cabinet and soaking the floor. Lucky tank was still cycling so no livestock lost. Not at all what i expected from a Fluval product. Unfortunately i did not take pictures as more concerned with shutting off and cleaning up. Have returned product.

I've always used Eheim filters when I was able to keep bigger tanks, but after breaking the handle on a Eccopro 130 on my small aquarium, I decided to switch camp and try the Fluval 107. For an entry level cannister filter it has a very sturdy and functional design, the priming system is much better than the Eccopro, removing the pipes for maintenance is easier, and the supplied clamps that hold the pipes in place mean you don't have to mess around trying to get the outlet nozzle in the right place again. The 107 comes with Bio-Foam+ media in the bottom tray, and a bag of carbon in the top. I replaced the carbon with the SubstratPro that was in the Eheim, and if this was a new setup I would've purchased Biomax media with the filter to replace the carbon.

This is a nice pump. It is silent and super easy to prime. My problem is with the main gasket. It leaks if the pump is tilted on the side. I haven't had a major leak, but it leaks a little if I slightly tilt the pump.

After going through 4 units in total, one had had the ceramic shaft of the motor break in 3 pieces, and all of them starting to have rattling noise all along, there's this constant grinding noise even after days of running

Disappointed from one of the market leaders, maybe mine was defective . Sent it back with no problems
